Though mortal enemies, a human girl and a vampire queen set out in search of the paradise where humans and vampires once coexisted in peace.
This is a great example of a realistic abusive or unhealthy relationship. Both people care and do love each other, but the communication and the bond of trust between mother and daughter has ultimately broken beyond repair. Yet momo's forgiveness and quiet walking away shows that the love is still there as is the mothers who raises her gun but doesn't shoot her daughter. Sadly it is better for them to separate but that is what must be done for such tragic relationships.
I hope her mother realizes what she has done wrong. I hope her mother and her uncle pack their things and leave their organization.

You can tell in the last scene that it is too late. Nobara tried to apologise but the damage is done. What makes it more tragic is she switch back to her cold commander side and Pointed a gun at her own daughter. She struggled with both sides of herself but in the end, her daughter left her alone. It was too late. Her strict behaviour cost her the one thing she truly cared about.

Momo's Mother Nobara is COMPLICATED... I DO think she Still does REALLY LOVE Her daughter Momo. But Nobara/Momo's Mother is Pretty much Arrogant. As Nobara seem's to Think The War Between the Human's and Vampire's is in Black and White. As in, ALL Vampire's are bad. ALL Human's are Good. Vampire's are nothing more then Bad. Momo is the Kinda Person who Gave Vampire's a chance and She Created a CLear Open Mind and she was able to See the REAL. ACTUAL. TRUTH. Vampire's and Human's are FULLY CAPABLE of Being Either Good or Evil. Its ALL CHOICE... I Have a Good Feeling That Nobara's army MAY Have attacked the Vampire's 1st an Started the War. As It REALLY seem's Like The Vampire's JUST wanna Be left Alone and the Human's keep on trying to massacre them All. The Vampire's I am sure Are mostly just trying to Defend themselves.
Nobara wont seem To give it any other thought. She Just i TRULY think will NEVER EVER consider the Possibility she is wrong and Vampire's CAN INDEED be TRULY GOOD. I think Nobara was SO AFRAID Of the possibility of losing her daughter and also be SO DEAD SET On DESTROYING the Vampire's, it blinded her. I was REAL UPSET when she slapped Momo in the beginning and yelled at her and broke the Music Box. But you Can tell Nobara did regret it and she did say sorry and she Offered Momo a hug. And Later After Fine was Killed, Nobara said to Momo she is Sorry again all this happened. And I Hated how she Dared to Point a Gun at Momo But i DONT REALLY Think she was gonna Shoot, She just wanted to Try an convince Momo to stay. But the Fact that she Did let Momo go, I think it does Show she 1nce and for All, despite her Flaw's and Arrogance, she DOES REALLY care for Momo and Love's Her. And you can Tell she is REALLY HURTING By how She know's she Will never See Momo again.
So in Closing, I DONT think Nobara was REALLY evil, she Was just trying to protect her Daughter from what she Believed was REAL BAD and she also Could not Understand that Her View's on the World and the Human's and Vampire's Was not ALL As RIGHT as she believed. She was some1 who clearly had flawed beliefs And she did Still Love her daughter But the fact that she ALWAYS thinks she is ALWAYS Right Fractured her Relationship with her Daughter... But I am also Real happy Momo does not hate her mother. and she said goodbye and wished her well.

I think she was partially scared , not just sad in my opinion. She did just slap her right across the face when she was just listening to a simple melody in a mainly SUCURE spot. The way the mother acted was irrational. She had no right to hit and pick up her daughter like that.
Man, this anime practically shows how ignorant and corrupted mankind can be at times. Thinking that all monsters are evil that good and evil are just black and white, thus letting some of our own beliefs blind us from the truth and letting our rage, hate, greed, fear, and thirst for vengeance turn us into the very monsters we loathe and fear.
The vampires want to be left alone, but the humans claim that they are evil so they decide to slaughter them all; therefore humanity started the war (at least that’s what I believe). Not only that, the humans abandoned the very things that made them human: creativity, joy, music, and hope.
As Peter Parker from Spider-Man once said: “Whatever comes our way, whatever battles we have raging inside us we always have a choice. It’s the choices that make us who we are and we can always choose to do what’s right.”

I was kinda rooting for the humans. They live in a world where there are beings who want to suck all of their blood and can't live without it. Those beings have Regeneration, Flight, Strength and extreme hearing to the point the people have to abandon thier music because it's attract vampires. Many in the comments said human started the war but vampires are always hunting for human blood (in first episode in vampire's city there are tons of blood bottles where do you think it came from?). The mother and the uncle have right intentions but wrong way to do.The girl was a prick though.
She was. Like, the anime trying to show us, that vampires are “better”, than humans, cause they have music, art, and they’re “kind” to each other (???)
Sure, anime shows us their rotten hedonistic side, but it feels, like humans were shown much worse (evil soviet Russians kinda) , which is wrong and ridiculous.
