Beyond that Netflix is on a roll in January 2025 with _My Happy Marriage_ Season 2 and especially _Sakamoto Days_
That's probably because the way Japan does anime and/or TV productions for animations is that they'll make the entirety of a season and then produce it little by little throughout the year. Versus how the US does it will work on the a few episodes and then release them and then work on another few episodes. Given the factor that the first season came out last year and then the next ones coming out next year odds are they were already done with it when they released the first season or darn near close to being done when they had the first season premiere

Girls were married at a young age from 16+ and had to be subject to they parents,husband and in-laws and to provide children. Few woman can have carrers and continued they studies. I glad the marriage of Myo and Kyoda is a happy one ,even it stardet as a aranged one it grandualy become true love. I don't think Myo future in laws are mean to her, I hope they test her to see if she love Kyoda for his person and being,not for his wealth or status.
I have read all the novels so far and it’s a beautiful thing to watch their love evolve and to see how much Miyo has grown not just as a person but as a gift user. Cannot wait for season 2.

I actually thought that LN 7 would be the last one because it ended so beautifully but was glad to see the blurb at the end of seven by the author that it was continuing and we would get to see more of our couple and it looks like it might focus some on Gudou.

Kiyoka's mom might also feel jealous of Miyo as typical of most but not all mother in laws. The title is My Happy Marriage so I have no doubt that she will be happy in the marriage. But we all know that the sister in law really adores Miyo from their interaction and highly likely I guess will be the one to protect Miyo in the family. So happy that my favorite anime is getting a second season 😌
So far season 1 covers the Light novel 1 and 2. If they follow the pattern season 2 will probably cover Light novel 3 and 4. At this moment there are 8 light novels, but the volume 8 seems to be a story before Kiyoka joined the military. So it is possible to have 4 seasons (I do hope so) of My happy marriage. I'm not sure if the author will continue the light novel.

IMO the anime kind have ruined the pacing while also making all the side characters too flat or sudden. It gave too much spotlight on the two, it became frustrating.
I think I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have because I was listening to the dub, it was a bit grating on the ears imo. should've just read subtitles
