Welcome to Indiana! The roads are horrible, especially I-70! Wish I'd known you were stopping in Indiana, I would have recommended Springmill State Park. Its a beautiful park, has a pioneer village, there are caves in the area to explore and it is so quiet! It's the perfect place to just chill and relax. You could also see some corn😂. Plus, we could have come and visited you. We love watching your adventures and your beautiful family.
The road we took from Michigan City down to Indy was pretty terrible! You will see in our next video we didn't get a chance to do much on our entire stay in Indy!
Ummm, get ready for cold if you go to Minnesota now. They could see snow any time. When I lived in Duluth I remember snow and sleet on September 19th 😂. Loved Duluth and it's aerial bridge. Little one did a great job on the video! Watch out, she will take over and you will have to pay her 😉
Our seasons are each year for us! We are on our way home from Maine this year back to Texas for the Holidays! After the New Year we make our plans and head back out! We will either be heading west of back up to the midwest next year!
Welcome to Indiana not only are the roads horrible there is always a crazy amount of road construction. I live in southern Indiana and half my town is closed because of road construction and because half the town is close the roads in the other half are extremely broken down.
I know what you mean! I had to do 3 U turns in Indy trying to navigate around to the Campground! There was construction and exits were closed, We didn't know the new traffic pattern so we were in the wrong lanes when it came time to exit! And we did all this with the RV hookedup!
You, sir, are a GREAT driver. I was so scared you were going to hit that pylon. You guys are creating such great memories for your kids. And the video at the end was just too precious. Safe travels. Oh, and I'm with you, Kevin. You should head out west.
When you were in Michigan you should of gone and went up and explore the UP and then go back thru Greenbay Wi and down into Illinois and then into Indiana and Ky then you would have completed the whole East and Central states! Michigan has the worlds largest Christmas store (Bronners) in Frankenmuth, Mi and they have a wonderful little town to explore and then there is Mackinac Island to explore (have to take a Ferry across to the island)
We wanted to have time to explore the entire UP, so we are saving it for a future season! We had a goal to hit 20 new states this year, so that's why we hopped over to Michigan and just stayed in the southern part of the state this trip! Thanks for the info on places to visit when we do go!
Why did you wait till now to go north? Winter is coming! I guess you enjoy the snow!?!? Your daughters video was soooo good!! She is learning from the best!! I so enjoy your videos!! You said you were spending a month in KY, that is my home state!! There is a lot to see and do in KY! I can’t wait to see those video!! Enjoy your stay in Indiana! Be safe out there!! ❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
We aren't heading north now! We are actually on the end of our trip from Maine back to Texas for the holidays! After the new year we usually set our plans on what we are doing and then head out again! So next year will either be out west or back up to the midwest! We are in Kentucky now and will be for the rest of October!
She has recently started climbing everything! She was trying to hide from Daddy when she went to get food! And she did a great job videoing! She wants to crank videos out daily, so Kevin may have to teach her some editing so she can do her own editing! Ha!
Her video was sooo cute. I think she out shined Kevin! I think you guys don't know what you're missing by not coming out west. It's a different world out here. Would love to see you enjoy our west coast. So many state and national parks too.❤
I would totally go out west! South Dakota is my favorite! And I live near Michigan City campground so of course I would want to escape this area to go west!
Our first year was out West but we didn't go all the way, we stayed in Colorado, Utah, Montana, and the Dakotas! We need to hit the West Coast and we still have the Midwest to explore!
We are getting our IS installed next May so we will be hitting the surrounding areas. You should hit the Grand Design National Rally and all the surrounding areas next year.
Thanks! Our seasons are basically each year! This year we started in January and our trip was to Maine and back to Texas! After the Holdiays with family we hit the road again and that is our next season! So next year we are either heading west or up to the midwest!
Ashlyn’s video was so fun! She’s a natural 👑 Loved the visual of her sisters “fall” off the bike 😂 We will watch no matter what direction you head! Just living vicariously through you until retirement (3 years) when we can start full timing ourselves. Thanks for sharing your adventures and safe travels!
We're going to the UP in April. Our babies are adults, but I would love to show you some waterfalls in Michigan. My number 4 reminds me of your oldest.
You had me at waterfalls! If we go back up the middle we will need to plan to not get there too early but we want to spend as much time in the area as we can before winter starts showing back up!
By next season, do you mean winter? If so you may not want to be in Michigan or anywhere in theMidwest, unless you're very prepared for cold and snow. Her first video was adorable!
Each year for us is a season of travel! This year was about getting to Maine and back! We spend the holidays in Texas with family and hit the road again at the start of the new year! We will never be where there is snow on purpose!
Thats how we travel! Each season had a theme! This year was Maine and back! Next year is either the west coast or back up the middle to the Midwest states!
We are aware of snow, and we will never be in any snow on purpose! Our seasons for us start each year! Right now we are on the end of our trip to Maine, we are headed back towards Texas for the holidays! After the new year we will take off on the next adventure! Either out west of back up the middle to the midwest!
Come to WA. It’s incredibly beautiful and diverse from glacier lakes and forest to desert. I’m hunkering down here in my RV for the winter and plan to explore more of it in the spring. Missed seeing yall in Texas so it would be cool to meet up. Safe travels!
@@PavingNewPaths lol oh I figured not winter. I meant I’ll be staying in this state awhile past winter as it has so much to explore. So hope to see you if you come this way.
Just want to let you know that I've never seen anyone as excited as my little lady after alright, alright, alright. Lol, she shared it with her whole family down in WV. She said it felt like a celebrity acknowledgment. Lol, we love ya, stay safe. We will keep watching and enjoying your content. Love family life.
Next year you need to come up the middle and stay a mouth just in MI you and Frankenmuth MI, Traverse Cite MI, and the UP (Mackinaw City/ Island) to come see.
We wont have another year like this year trying to cover so much ground! Next year will be much slower we don't have as many states to see and we will be able to spend more time in each place!
As an architect I can appreciate the attention to detail of cutting the building soffit back on that turn. Or, maybe people hit it enough that they gave up repairing it.😂
Another great video. We have the state map like y'all have but not nearly as much ground covered. We only add a sticker if we stay at least one night in that state. I think if it was me, I would go west next since you went east this time. That's just how my mind works...lol. And I think Ashlyn(I hope I spelled her name right. If not tell her I sincerely apologize) did a fabulous job shooting her first video. I think she's got a bright future ahead of her
Or rule is the RV has to stay there one night and we have to do at least one adventure outside of the RV park to earn the sticker! I vote for West as well but I really love the West!
We didn't start that part of the videos until this year when so many requested that I show more of the places we are staying! Seems to be a segment most really like for this year!
Lifelong Indy resident. I love the city, but just gonna be honest, watch the East Side. Greenfield (where you are) isn't to bad... but man it goes to absolute ghetto nonsese as soon as you hit Indy when you start West. If it's not on your list, we have a nice Childrens Museum just north of Downtown. Probably 25-35min depending on traffic.
Ashlyn did an awesome job on her video, better than I could. For next year I love the midwest but if I could I would hit the west coast in early spring and head to Alaska in the early spring, you need to either have snow rated tires or go after the date Canadian provinces have for snow rated tires but there are so many things your kids will love and you record everything they will remember more than you think. Also it is worth a second trip in 5 years when they are older and going back to the same places with new places will spark their memory. You can get up there while the sled dogs are still running on snow paths for rides and spend the summer up there. There are a lot of places to camp free, it can be expensive if you take plane excursions but that I would do that later and enjoy the scenery. A tip for going to Alaska is figure out what you will want for dry goods, bug spray and canned food buy it in the lower 48 and box it up by week or month it will save a lot of money. Also get at least 2 bug nets for each of you because kids lose things. Stay safe and healthy. If you want a channel to watch or even contact before you go to Alaska I can give you a good one that planned their trip and know many of the free sites that are really nice. It has been years since I went over there so many things are different.
Thanks for all those tips! We'd love your recommendation for the Alaska trip planning! We will probably wait a bit before we go to Alaska because we want all of our babies to remember it, but it's definitely on the list!
Got it. Yes, you do sound like him. I have been waiting seemingly forever. Lol, but it is greatly appreciated. Long day today, you just made it so much better. The wife is still losing it.
She did a great job! ❤ the kids are growing up so fast, next thing you know she'll be asking Santa for her own camera 😄. I remember in the 80s they came out with a kids video camera/camcorder kinda thing. I ended up getting 1 back then.
She did am amazing job! If she is with me I let her use the main camera! When I am letting her play we have backup cameras that are no longer the main camera that I give her to play with! They are usually already damaged or have something going on with them that makes them not able to be the Main Camera for us! So if she messes anything up its not big deal!
Thanks so much for watching! We are so proud of her! She's already planning the next one, just deciding between a craft video, bicycle riding video, or who knows what else she will come up with!
Out West! We did Florida to Yellowstone last summer and next year we’re heading to Alaska knocking out a few western states we missed. Maybe we’ll see y’all out there!
Kevin I have that sweatshirt, however my H covers my entire front. 😂. Ur an incredible driver. Things that make u go humm. Enjoy guys, you both deserve it. 👊😁 don't 4get 2 pound it. I really liked the end of the video. Thanks.
Thank you! They guy warned me about the turn around at the check in, but I didn't expect it to be so tight especially where everyone has to drive to get check in!
Great video! So can relate to Kevin on parking OCD. Get some rest and be safe on your next journey! Quick question. What are your thoughts on manf. many. Are using 3 independent AC units as opposed to ducted units? Is this really an advantage or is it more of a cost cutting issue?
In order for them to be ducted they must have the ducting system in the roof for it to work! Our has 3 units one for each space, but they are also in the ducting system so one unit will provide cooling to the entire rig! I would say no ducting is just a price point for a certain level of trailer!
That's a great video idea! We usually do a big clean out before Christmas, so maybe we will have her film it! The way they say words at this age is soooo cute!
We’re not as large but still 37ft long, true 102 inch wide body & 14 feet high. It can wear you out maneuvering a big rv, traffic, tight spots in rv parks.. small gas stations . And dumb drivers .. #ToyHaulerLife
Yes, indeed! Always having to be "on" and thinking for others when towing can get tiresome! That's why we try to limit our travel days to a manageable distance!
@@PavingNewPaths we travel roughly every 13 weeks wife is a travel nurse. And we go coast to coast at times .. limiting 200 maybeee 300 miles in a day depends on so many factors.. keep it breezy fellow full timer.. 🙏🏼❤️💯
Oh yeah, either way you go you have some awesome scenery and fishing. I have lived in California, Oregon and Minnesota, so for me it is a toss up. BTW I was watching another channel and they were stating that they wished they would have stayed places for a month at a time instead of two weeks as it got to be to hectic for them with a child and a dog. I thought of y’all when I saw that, but you folks are on a mission!😊
We had goals for the year on this trip and what we had to try and do to accomplish those goals! Our next video goes in to resting and scheduling and other things we have been thinking about when it comes to traveling fulltime!
The UP is nice. Lots of scenery. Sleeping bear dunes is awesome The Wisconsin dells are a great place. You will never see so many boats and RVs on the road. Your kids might be a bit young for all the water parks Might try to plan around the oshkosh air show July 22-28. Minnesota. Land of 10000 lakes. Paul Bunyan and Babe the state mascots Mount Rushmore is a destination but it’s a lot of travel and that’s it While there are things to do and great places in all these states travel gets hard as Indiana Illinois Iowa Kansas western Ohio are basically the same view on the road, and a wind that won’t stop with no terrain to slow it down constant buffeting. Bring fuel cans in the Dakotas. Just piece of mind And the roads in the Midwest are terrible. We get 2-3 years of a road being good. Then 2-3 years of the potholes. Then 2-3 years of construction. On the east coast the population density and traffic warrant constant construction. The amount of traffic in the Midwest gets less funding per mile and as much or more freeze thaw cycles which destroy the roads more than traffic The south doesn’t get the freeze thaw cycles
Man …. For a minute at the end when Kevin was talking I thought he was sitting on the toilet dropping off some friends….lol… my vote go out west then maybe pop into Canada. She did a great job with her 1st video … it must come naturally
Haha! I don't think he's that comfortable filming...yet! We love it out west, so we are still deciding! And we can't wait to see Canada one day! Ashlyn did a great job! We were so proud of her!
I agree Indiana roads are very bad, but Interstate 20 across Louisiana is equally as bad!! I also want to be in our sites as perfect as possible!! 😂😂😂 We've been full time for a little over a year. I enjoy your videos!
Great video, Kayla! You know those horrible roads you were talking about, Alicia? The whole state of Michigan is pretty much like that. Just an FYI as you make plans.

We aren't done with this year's trip yet! We go back to Texas every year for the holidays and spend several weeks hanging out with family and preparing for next year's trip! So next year we need to decide out west or back up the middle!

So if she messes anything up its not big deal!
thanks for another great video!!! Ashlyn, you did GREAT on your video!!! i can't wait to see your next video, Ashlyn!!!
Thanks so much for watching! We are so proud of her! She's already planning the next one, just deciding between a craft video, bicycle riding video, or who knows what else she will come up with!
Awesome video Ashlyn thank you for sharing your travels
Thanks so much! We are so proud of her!
We’ve stayed at Michigan City campground several times. Went to beach and outlet mall. Also took the train into Chicago.
We did the same thing, shopping at the malls, went to the dunes and saw Chicago!
She did such a good job. And was so cute ❤️ . Hope you all got some rest.
She did amazing! We do get some rest, you will see more about that in the next video!
Out West! We did Florida to Yellowstone last summer and next year we’re heading to Alaska knocking out a few western states we missed. Maybe we’ll see y’all out there!
Those sound like epic trips! Safe travels and we hope to see you in our travels!
It was a great first video! Gotta start somewhere. Thank for all the fun.
It was an awesome first video!
Kevin, you were in our site at the Indianapolis KOA
We were there in May. Same site.
So how did you line it up? With the site or with the pad!
@@PavingNewPaths
Left it crooked, lined up with the patio
We were just there (Indianapolis KOA) last weekend. Sorry we missed you guys!
It's a great campground! Our videos usually run about 2 weeks behind so we are usually never still there by the time the video comes out!
She did such a great job!!
She did great!
Great video! And Ashlyn did a great job with her first video!
Thanks so much! We think she did a great job, too!
you are right IN. has some of the worst roads are last trip though we broke a spring mount safe trip
A few times we felt like we lost the RV when we hit the holes and expansion joints!
Loved this video. She’s a natural.
It was so good!
Hey! Any chance you guys can find me some corn? Heard there’s a shortage 😂
Haven't seen any around!
Your children are growing up fast, lol. Gr8 fun video, thanks .
They are growing like crazy lately!
De-Toy the Toy Hauler. LOL. I giggled the whole time. Too cute! She should make video cleaning up and donating toys.
That's a great video idea! We usually do a big clean out before Christmas, so maybe we will have her film it! The way they say words at this age is soooo cute!
She did great…👏👏👏👏
She did amazing!
Everyone already said it, but Ashlyn's video was great. Now we need a 30 second kid's review of each new campground filmed by Ashlyn going forward.
She did a great job! That is actually a great idea to let her do the campground review! She helps me soon on a tour of a campground!
Ashlyn did a great job 📽
She did amazing!
@@PavingNewPaths Yes she did🙂
I have a new favorite you tuber!!! Great Job Ashlyn!!Gran Gran
Didn't she do great! We loved it!
Great video Kev n Family n when’s Alecia driving
Thanks!
We stayed in site D15 (in front of your site) at the Indy KOA in October 2022.
It was a great campground but that u-turn between the buildings was a little crazy!
@@PavingNewPathsagree. Too close for my liking
@@JPS1Dec We wondered how many have hit that roof before they built it back with less overhang!
@@PavingNewPathsdefinitely tests driving skills
The UP is nice. Lots of scenery. Sleeping bear dunes is awesome
The Wisconsin dells are a great place. You will never see so many boats and RVs on the road. Your kids might be a bit young for all the water parks
Might try to plan around the oshkosh air show July 22-28.
Minnesota. Land of 10000 lakes. Paul Bunyan and Babe the state mascots
Mount Rushmore is a destination but it’s a lot of travel and that’s it
While there are things to do and great places in all these states travel gets hard as Indiana Illinois Iowa Kansas western Ohio are basically the same view on the road, and a wind that won’t stop with no terrain to slow it down constant buffeting.
Bring fuel cans in the Dakotas. Just piece of mind
And the roads in the Midwest are terrible.
The UP and all of those states up there sound like they would be a great place to spend the entire summer!

Thanks! I am planning on fixing it when we get back home for the holidays!
I did both side of the roof and the front underside
I agree Indiana roads are very bad, but Interstate 20 across Louisiana is equally as bad!!
I also want to be in our sites as perfect as possible!! 😂😂😂
We've been full time for a little over a year.
I enjoy your videos!
I used to think I20 was bad in Louisiana, but I 95 up the east coast is now the worst road we have been on! Indiana is now second place behind that!
I think you should check us out in Canada
I would love to check out Canada!
Great job on her video 🎉
Thank you!
Great video, Kayla! You know those horrible roads you were talking about, Alicia? The whole state of Michigan is pretty much like that. Just an FYI as you make plans.
Thank you! We got a small taste of the Michigan roads a few weeks ago when we went through the Detroit area!
She did an outstanding first video 🎉❤
She did an amazing job!
Do the UP for sure. No place like it
We have heard so many great things about it!
Your family is priceless ❤️
Thank you!
What e-collar do you use for your dog?
We don't have an E collar it is from a company called Tactipup! You can check them out here www.tactipup.com/collections/tactical-dog-collars?msclkid=b9e300a8222b11b53c5c65802d1ba3ac&Search%20-%2002%20-%20Tactical%20Dog%20Collar%20-%20Desktop&New%20-%20military%2Ftactical%20collar
Buddy just has a standard collar from Tactipup (online), but I believe they have ecollars available on their website, too! We love our Tactipup collars!
Wisconsin / U.P. next stop b4 its to cold!
We aren't done with this year's trip yet! We go back to Texas every year for the holidays and spend several weeks hanging out with family and preparing for next year's trip! So next year we need to decide out west or back up the middle!
Great Video Ashleign (?sp)...your parents taught you well❤
Thanks so much! We are super proud of Ashlyn!
Go west is my vote!
It gets Kevin's Vote as well!
Hi guys. I hope your get to rest for While. So Kevin you strickly use the Hammer app for travel? No GPS. Thanks
My trucks GPS is always on when we are driving, but it is just a guideline! We checked the route before using Hammer and usually I have to deviate from the trucks GPS and use hammer getting to and from the highway!
@@PavingNewPaths
Thank you Kevin.
Need to go to Hawaii. But how do you get the RV over there 🤔😁
The RV likely won't be making that trip with us!
Awe she's super cute. Great job on your first video 📹 👏 😊
Thank you!
That is a hard decision out west or U.P. They are both awesome areas. If you are already in the Midwest I would say the U.P. Stay safe.
It's such a hard decision! We won't leave out til next year and will be leaving from Texas!
I want to see you take the RV to Hawaii.
We wish we could! That would get some views! Ha!
You definitely want to go to the upper peninsula of Michigan you’ll never regret it. Bring your jackets though.
We can't wait to explore the UP! We've heard nothing but great things!
Go west guy
I love the West!
Very cute. You need to include a video from her more often.
She did a great job! She helped me at the end of this one as well ruclips.net/video/9DOK9OjHhWg/видео.html
