Not a feminist or anything, but is it not expected to have female editors for magazines for females? Having a female editor for a magazine would help with relatability, of course its going to be hard for the main editor of a magazine for women, about women, to be a male.

Well give them a break. It cost a lot of money to run outside. It cost a lot of money to do pushups in the living room. Plus it is not their fault they choose Coke over water for the same price. It is not their fault they rather have a bag of potato chips for the same cost as a bag of apples. "you can have a bottle of water instead of that pop." "I do not like water" "Well then that is your own fault" "your just being mean. After all my body will keep me slim and diabetic free because I have no control over my taste buds and my body will understand. Just like my friend who loves cheeseburgers. Her body kept her slim because her body understands she likes those over salads. Her body is forgiving" You can be fat all you want. Pay higher insurance, have a crane pick you up, and die of a heart attack in your 40's all you want. Last I checked your body does not care about your excuses for life choices.

My gf, 3 years into our almost 6 year relationship asked me if she looked like she had gained weight since we started dating.
I said yes, but I'm still very much attracted to you, and it's not like you gained like 100 pounds, you got a bit of a muffin top going on, and I've lost weight, I'm a weak little stringbean now compared to when we first started dating, and she agreed
The next day we got access to the gym in our building and started working out together
We were honest with each other, our feelings weren't hurt, we both made an individual commitment to each other to get back to where we were at the start, even though there was no strain on the relationship at the time, it's not like we were drifting apart or not having intercourse because we weren't attracted to each other anymore
I bulked up again, she slimmed down.
We are committed to each other, and that means looking out for each other's health.
She obviously felt some hit towards her self esteem, but she realized that it was internal. I was honest when she asked if she gained weight and I book-ended it with the fact I'm still attracted
It's definitely a minefield, but you should be able to be honest in those regards with your partner

    • @comandos5591
      @comandos5591 3 года назад +17

@@karimshawagfeh3630 You're right. 100%. I remember losing a lot of weight at school, and I didn't change personality wise. When I was attractive, people suddenly found me funny and were paying a whole lot more attention to me. Keep in mind, my personality didn't change when I was "unattractive" by most standards. I put on weight, and then people started seeing me as weird and a loser. Didn't get the attention I used too, now I'm here trying to loose weight not to get attention, but to look after my health and mental well-being.
So attractive privilege does exist and always will be, it will be even higher for a woman who is deemed attractive by men's standards.
And for men? Being unattractive in reality is much harder to gain attention from someone you like.
A lot of these feminist put in the notion of "if you're overweight, it's not your fault, it's your man's fault for not loving you for who you are" or "you're beautiful the way you are and you shouldn't change so people like you."
To young girls at a young age to the point they grow up with this mentality, and you can see it and it's disgusting.
A lot of these overweight woman that I've talked and engaged with when they complain about loosing the weight and how they've tried everything and still can't loose are actually just lying to themselves. They're giving excuses and comforting themselves. The truth is, loosing weight is being committed to 110% effort healthy lifestyle which these girls just do not do - (This goes for men as well, but I've noticed woman do this behaviour a lot more then men personal experience)
Even then with these overweight woman, they still get attention much easier than an overweight man and I can confirm this as I was 147kg at 6ft2inches and I had zero attention from girls and even guys. You can still be tall and masculine, but if you don't look after yourself (groom, maintain e.t.c, go to gym) and not care about how you're precived by others physically, it will show. Trust me, it shows. You're like a walking antenna and antenna and sign to girls that you're not boyfriend material.
That being said, average guys still can very much get hot girls as the guys themselves, have increased their own value a lottttt. Just physical looks gives you a higher number and value from the start.
So physical attraction is very much important, especially if you're having sex.

However women who are unhealthily large are praised and called brave and amazing when they put their health at risk, by the media, by their friends and if i were put in a magazine i would ‘be promoting unrealistic body expectations’, no one can tell me this is how it’s supposed to be when if you go back maybe 50 years I would be an average size for someone my age

I was average height but terrible skin, nothing I tried worked and the dermatologist eventually just told me I'd grow out of it. The things I heard people say about me during high school when they thought I wasn't around or not listening... it was a rough time to put it lightly. Went through some pretty terrible things but that's all I'll say on the matter. Seriously considered suicide for most of my time there. Fortunately didn't, obviously lol.
Only had a few "real" friends (which I still talk to and do things with occasionally, extremely grateful for them). Plus it was extremely hard to even try and make new friends. I always felt like the outcast and I feel like those 4 years did some really harmful stuff to my brain because even though it's been a long time since then it still affects me psychologically and with how I perceive myself.

And you can limit weight gain in cases of certain medical conditions with careful diet planning. As a young man myself, I can tell you that I actually find it slightly gross when a woman is so skinny that I can see her ribs imprinting against her skin. Wouldn't be a deal breaker for me by any means, but I'd prefer not. Some might call me a chubby-chaser, I guess, but eh? Many men are more aroused by having more flesh to hold in their hands. Not to mention I'd never want to be shackled up to a woman that is constantly enforcing dietary standards anyways. I will say that even the men I've known who think skinny women are the most attractive end up dating women who are not even remotely that skinny or "groomed." Most men are capable of looking at a woman as a whole package of traits and not just base their eligibility on appearance. It's just easier to get us aroused.
I think a real problem that most people overlook is that they are going about looking for love in the wrong fashion, or are poor at judging people in the first few dates, then get fed up when the relationship doesn't turn out how they thought and blame an entire gender one way or the other. When really, the reason they keep seeing recurring problems with their dates is their own judgment at choosing a date.

The correct healthy standards a man should have for a woman:
      1) Do not be overweight because being overweight means you're unhealthy... ask any doctor.
      2) Don't be a man... which is a more healthy response as compared to don't look like a man where you still might end up with a man!
      3) Be emotionally stable... if she has bi-polar, depression or other mental issues these will not only be problems in the relationship, but also you cause any children you might have together to inherit these medical problems!!
      4) Be healthy... which means a healthy weight, no diseases, no addictions!
      5) Don't be a socialist... definitely agree with this as well, but should also include don't be a feminist.

It's not natural for a man to view a woman as competition. Now in the corporate sphere it will be a bit different, but I would still assume a man is less likely to view a woman as competition. Women on the other hand of course view you as the primary competition.

Thank you for this video! I have ALWAYS struggled with how I see myself in the mirror. My husband says I'm beautiful all the time(even after the birth of our fourth child) and I regret that I've often discounted his compliments instead of saying thank you. I will say thank you from now on and continue to try my best to take care of myself.

He is not wrong. The majority of men really are happy with a woman they can work with on a mental level. I could not stand the nagging bitches at all. If a 10 were to nag at me, she already bumped down to a 3 at her high. Just don't have an extra 300 lbs on top of the normal bmi, and yall be alright.

I have lost 40lbs and I am working out daily. I’m so thankful to have a boyfriend with enough balls to tell me to my face I’m getting fat and unhealthy!
