I have the Mark 2 "slab sided" that handed down to me when my Dad passed away in 2012 ! I also inherited a couple of 1022's as well ! He had a Redhawk 44 magnum that I used to take my first deer...he bragged about that to everyone !! All are fine guns, that will be in my possession til I draw my last breath !!

The Ruger Mark series are great guns, and definitely deserve their place in firearms history. I have a Ruger mark IV Standard, it’s one of my favorite.22LR pistols

My father's first ever handgun purchase was a Ruger .22 automatic standard with a 4-3/4 inch barrel with a factory original 9 round fixed floor plate magazine and black eagle logo grips. I still have that pistol after his passing from a year long battle with cancer in August of 2020. I will never part with it.

That's a great story! My father was a police officer in the 60's and 70's. He has one of these Ruger 22's with a black eagle on the grip. It's a neat little target pistol. I had to replace the magazine. But still fires like it should to this day... He cant remember the year he bought it. Probably in the early 70's..

My first 22 pistol was a 4 3/4" standard automatic. Bought it in 1970. Put a bunch rounds through it. I learned how to disassemble it pretty well. I shot it so much with cheap lead bullets, I would field strip it and take the grips off the frame and dip the parts in kerosene. I would use and old tooth brush to give it a good scrubbing. The trigger cracked in the early 1980's, about the same time the new model came out with a beefier improved trigger. I ordered a new trigger and my pistol kept on running. Great design, that launched Ruger into a successful business.

My first handgun was the original Ruger Bearcat which I bought in 1967. It was later stolen but I now have the new all steel Bearcat. I also have the Mark III pistol. Both are fun guns but the Mark III can be a serious wilderness survival gun.

Hate to break it to you, but that logo is a phoenix, not an eagle. Despite what Bill Ruger wanted. Perhaps he fired the artist...

I have the Ruger Mk ll. Picked it up a gun show back in the late 80s. Still have it, love ❤️ it. Have fired 100s if not 1000 rounds through it. Was the very 1st Ruger that I bought. Since then, I have purchased several more Rugers, a 1022, a Blackhawk 357 mag. a Super Blackhawk 44 mag, a mini 14, and a SR 1911 CMD. Love all of them. Great weapons.

I got my first gun in 1962, it was the Mk I 'target pistol', It was a great little pistol but in 1976, my home was broken into and one of the items taken was my little pistol. I still miss it! I bought it at a sporting goods store, so I never got the fancy little wooden box....

The Ruger Mark I 6" barrel was my first fire arm. I got it in 1072 and it cost me $50.00. I wish I still had it.

Got mine in 1981. A 1974 model, with thousands of rounds through it, it is still a very accurate and reliable pistol. Also hav two 10/22's, would recommend everybody have at least one of each.

My grandmother owned one made in 1949. She both carried it and kept it by her bedside until my dad decided she was to old to live alone anymore and it became his. I'm currently trying to buy it from his estate. My grandmother actually shot one man with it. Hit him in the leg, on purpose. He didn't give her anymore trouble. 😂🤣😂

What was with the guys in the video dressing so formally, they weren't in court. That Ruger .22 lr pistol is an interesting innovative 1, and a video with a man hunting with the pistol would make more sense.

I have all four. Of the mark series 22 semi autos. I like them a lot. And they’re really not that hard to take apart and put back together with a little practice. But the mk3 Is the worst. All that politically correct safety crap that was put into that one. They could’ve done without it. But the Ruger 22 pistols are the best on the planet.
