that only depends on what you're suffering from. if you're suffering from physical pain... (like i do) I can full on tell you: mental pain is bad, physical pain is debilitating
Going on 4 years of consistently hitting the gym this year. Your videos have been huge for not only helping me to stay motivated but showing me how to get actual results from a bulking/cut phase. LFG!
Before 2025 (before midnight) i hit my chest PR it was 112.5kg after 1 year and 3 months of weight training. Me: 173cm and 82kg This year will be much more, you doing such a good job Sam by motivating lot of peoples. Thank you man
I started the gym back in Nov 2023. To this day I am down 30 llbs and getting much leaner! The way I learned consistency was just showing up on the daily at the start. Some of those days I was too sore to lift during my first couple weeks, but I still showed up to just walk the treadmill. I needed to build the habit in just SHOWING UP. Building that routine of going to the gym into my schedule where it will get to the point now where I tell myself, "Ain't no way I am skipping the gym." I get upset when I can't go to the gym now. & Sam is right, I now tell myself, "Why didn't I start the gym sooner?" Why did I stop 3-4 years ago, I couldn't image where I'd be now if I just KEPT GOING." Happy new year Sam! 2024 was the best year of my life. I crushed a lot of fitness goals and I am glad to be part of the fitness joruney and can't wait to see my physique at the end of 2025!
Good job SS. Your motivational sermons are working... I see a difference in the gyms I frequent. It's obvious to me that many young fellas are fans of yours bc they do routines similar to yours. TY for being a great ambassador for fitness. Keep up the good work and Happy New Year... you're winning!
I’ve never been in great physical shape. Went from 320 to 230. Started a bulk and now starting my first cut. I’ve watched you since I’ve started in nov 2023. Thanks Sam

I have been going to the gym since April in 2024 now consistently and I've seen a huge change in my body. I've lost 13 kg and gotten a lot stronger, I managed to injure myself with some shoulder pain and elbow tendonitis, but I still am not stopping, I can still do legs and cardio. Thanks for inspiring me to be a better version of myself.
dude try daily dead hangs for the rest of yer life. I am telling you THIS sh1t is healing a supposed permanent injury with my bicep-tendon. It may take a couple weeks, but you may notice a bit of relief sooner maybe. I did active hangs for maybe a year, but switching to dead hang was key. They say aim for 2minutes a day. I can do 2mins in one go, and my hand strength is what fails. I wont use straps. Im working on single-arm hangs now. Those multiply the therapeutic affect Im thinking. Its real tho… deadhangs are a lifetime, joint health hack. There’s videos, check em out. I personally believe our bodies were meant to heal fully, no matter what age. Happy New Year, bro Sam ❤❤❤! Thanks for your daily gym vlogs, and thanks to them, there's a lot of motivation from viewers to start lifting. I'm really thankful because of you, Sam-my life has changed, and so has my physique. Take care always, Sam, with your daily gym vlogs, and I'll always support you. I’m hoping we’ll meet someday, but by that time, I’ll be bigger than you! Hahaha. That’s all. Happy New Year again, Sam, and thank you so much for guiding me through 2024!
Hey sam I’ve watched you from the start and you’ve helped me through all my powerlifting meets and prep recently I’ve became homeless and your video is helping me through this time hopefully you see this but thank you for helping me through this struggle 🫂
if everything works out as planned, i'm getting a 2025 goal I can't 'give up' on. Hip replacement... so getting those muscles as strong as possible pre-op and then training them back up slowly post-op. Not drinking was a goal last year, did 6 months without alcohol. Might pick that back up if my operation is completed. See how far i get this time, since alcohol is also the killer of pretty much 'everything' related to fitness and health.
Just gonna leave a little 2024 review for myself.. Started lifting February 2024, at planet fitness. Going with my dad sometimes, but mostly by myself. Noticed some bicep and tricep growth throughout the first 3 months. Then I expanded my crew, got my brother and some of our other friends to sign up for planet fitness. Mid summer I finally developed my own split instead of just doing a little bit of each muscle group a couple times a week. At this point I saw chest growth for sure. Then, come October, I split off from planet fitness and started lifting in the mornings at the Y with a new group, more consistently, and going harder. I bulked from October 1st to December 31st. I gained 10 lbs (160-170) and put on even more muscle in about every area. Now i start my cut for a beach trip in March. Thanks Sam for being one of my idols 💪
4:10 used to force myself about 4 years ago to do nothing but this exactly at least 4-5 days a week and not only is this true about it being inevitable that you will work out while in there…but also the hunger you grow to get in the gym from the repeated habit as well
Na Sam you are the guy for thise of us working to healthy, your daily grind and talks helps fuel ours. When I'm feeling the stay home voice getting a little strong I throw on sam and make sure your louder.
Around October 2023, I told myself I would start going to the gym in January 2024. However, I suddenly realized I didn't need to wait for the new year to do what I wanted to do, so I started days later. By January 2024, I had already gotten used to it. Now it is January 2025, and I spend 3-5 days at the gym every week of 2024. I have never felt better or looked better.
I’ve been watching your videos for 3 days in a row now and everyday i have a question about the gym, food etc. and for some reason the next video you upload i get the perfect answer to it 😂

So, I’m super proud of myself, though I know it’s because I chose to put in the work, but I do owe a huge part of that to you pookie Thanks, oneofthe5%femaleviewership

32:15 You're damn right. I'm a lean 180 and I've no problem training with high intensity on a daily basis, and you won't too if you have things which lie outside the gym in order. Sleep 9hrs, get some electrolytes, stay hydrated and hit your macros
Locked in in june after I stepped on the scale and I was 294. Trained hard for 2 weeks and was still 294. Locked in working out 6 days a week and hitting about 2-10 hours of cardio a week (mountain biking so it was pretty casual). Training at the gym for between 1-1.5 hours a day 6 days a week. I ended up losing 30 pounds since then. Definitly gotten so much stronger too. I was barely able to curl 25 with really good control. now doing 40s. Have not skipped a leg day since June. This year I want to go to around 240lbs so I need to work on my diet more.
In high school all my friends lifted and I didn’t see the appeal back then so I was the holdout, now I’ve been lifting and working out for 3 years and none of those guys work out anymore. 😂 I tried to get some of them back in but been unsuccessful. Lol
I just went to the local gym and got a daypass to see if I would like it. I did! Gyms are cool man. I was on private property in a building with doors that lock. It felt good. I felt safe. I felt secure. I benched 365. I got stronger there.

I didn't start going to Jim at the beginning of the year, or the beginning of the month, or even the beginning of the day. I went to the gym at 6 a.m. out of anger at myself, in the moment. No planning. I decided, I went. And the funny thing is, I was up all night. Ever since then, I've been going ever since without missing a session.

the amount of people that are going to be in the gym I can already imagine it but I hope they all stick to it W vid sam keep it up
I didn't start going to Jim at the beginning of the year, or the beginning of the month, or even the beginning of the day. I went to the gym at 6 a.m. out of anger at myself, in the moment. No planning. I decided, I went. And the funny thing is, I was up all night. Ever since then, I've been going ever since without missing a session.
I was never more proud of myself when i had been working out consistently for a year, im now on 2 years and still just as proud.
The new camera quality is crazy, feels like im watching a movie
