Thank you! Would love to see:
    - battery run times (6300 mAh vs 4000 mAh) -> does it translate to real-life difference
    - Wacom digitizer vs non-digitizer (for taking notes and drawing) -> big RL difference or not?
    - sdcard support : support for over 128GB sizes (1TB is now $100USD) -> sdcard difference in read /use speed (multi hundred megabyte DJVU/PDF files)
    - Making / exporting notes to epub (laboursome!) / PDF / DJVU
    - Viewing zooming coloured charts, graphs, diagrams (not photos, not videos, not manga) -> can they replace a TFT/LCD/AMOLED tablet for viewing technical documents, or does one still have to lug around iPad/Samsung Tab?
You are the best channel on eBook Readers, thanks for all the content throughout the years.
For many of your viewers, none of these devices are available locally for testing, so it's purely mail order blindly (based on your reviews) from abroad with plenty of extra costs + VAT + taxes.

Tried both brands. Boox has done so much more in developing on software than Bigme, from features, usability; to refreshing algorithms and language supports. Bigme had been very ambiguous on adopting new hardware technology but Boox made the equilibrium so appropriately.
I admire how strived Bigme had been and look forward to it catches up and be a positive competition.

In Kaleido's case, I'd have to assume so, since it's the same technology (b&w cells moving around, but under a color filter). Gallery 3 might suffer a worse strain, because it has four different ink colors it's juggling in more precise ways.

Got the Bigme inknote color plus today.
For Comics I find the image and refresh ease of use on the Boox to absolutely crush the bigme. Which sucks, I had high hopes for the bigme with it's form factor and writtng feel. I hope I can return the Bigme. I mainly wanted the 10" display for comics. But I've grown to love comics on my Mini C anyway.

I've been looking at the Tab Mini C for the past week, and now it looks like the Bigme S6 Color+ has recently released, which - like the boox equivalent - also has a K3 screen.
Bigme is about £70 cheaper than the boox, has 128gb internal storage and has expandable storage, but I'm very concerned about software. Boox seems much more polished and user friendly right now, and seems to have better screen refresh, handles colour out of the box better, etc. So I'm wondering, do you find the 64gb limit of the Boox Mini C to be problematic at all, or is it manageable? Would you say the boox mini c is worth the extra £70?
Also been super tempted to just go all out with the boox tab ultra c, but that's eye wateringly expensive, especially as this will be my first purchase of a device of this type so idek know how much I'll enjoy it just yet lol.

Hey, these are the issues that I have with the Tab Ultra C.
No software updates, no security patches updates, so the device is not that safe (I guess even with that, it should be OK as long as you use a secure WiFi.) Maybe at some point they will have updates for the device, but I understand that these E-Readers are mainly built to read and write, no necessarily to go online, but that’s one of the main reasons why I want buy one (I haven’t pulled the trigger yet.)
The screen is a bit dark, if you’re indoors chances are you’ll need to use the front light, which sucks the battery life, but I still think you’ll be able to use it for long periods of time without charging it (the regular Tab Ultra, no color, has a brighter front screen, so no need for the front light, therefore longer battery life, but I like to have Color.)
Some people have reported that the Tab Ultra C has an edge that is a bit too sharp, so when you hold it with your fingers you can feel that sharp edge and it’s not nice, it won’t cut your fingers but it’s not nice (maybe some people have sensitive fingers,) but you can buy a protective cover for the edges in case you feel the same problem when you hold it with your fingers/hands.
I’ve heard about the screen not having a great paper feel, but once you try it if you can’t get used to how it feels when you’re writing something, you can buy a screen protector that has a paper feeling when you write. I’ve seen a video of guy that bought that screen paper like protector and when he tested it he said that it felt great, so there is a solution for that problem just in case you don’t like the feel of it when you write on the screen.
Other than these issues everything else seems perfect, for sure better than any other device on the market.
I’m hesitating to be honest, should I buy it now or wait till next year when they hopefully improve or solve some of these issues....
I’ve just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, I could survive with the Samsung tablet for another year but I still need the Tab Ultra C so I can use both at the same time and save time. We will see, I like the Tab Ultra C a lot, finally they seem to have come up with an E-Reader, E-Note taking that you can also use to go online, and you can also use all the google play apps (I wouldn’t have considered buy one of these devices up to know. I like to read but I like books much better than reading on a screen.)
Anyway, hope that help a little bit, none of those issues are dealbreakers imo.

Will there still be a camera bump even if Ultra Tab C has a case? I’m getting close to getting Ultra Tab C. No rush though. If it goes out of stock then I’ll wait for a restock.
I have Kobo Libra 2 but I also want to buy Kindle ebooks and epubs. The size (10.3 inches) seems to be just right for me. Not too big as the 12.9 iPad Pro (which I don’t want to use for reading) or smaller than Libra 2 (7 inches).
It will be a bonus to have a paper-like writing experience. Otherwise, not an absolute deal breaker.
I’m excited to spend more time reading than watching videos (except the ones I really like, like ereader reviews 😊).
The price though. It’s more expensive in Canadian dollars 😅.

I was thinking about getting a tablet for note-taking, like the remarkable2, note air plus 2, or the tab ultra c. and this video was definitely good to see how some of these e-readers/note-tablets compare against each other. however, I just looked up the prices of the two tablets you are featuring here and I wonder, if these things are even worth it.
could you comment on why one should/could choose a device like the bigme (or the tab ultra c) over a "real" tablet like the samsung galaxy tab s8? since they are in a similar price range (~$600-700), I don't see why the tab s8 should be inferior.

    • @MarianoPerez

I had a similar question but between an ereader and an ipad mini. I read a lot so for me the ereader was better because it was less strain on my eyes and the battery life. However, I do have an s8 tab ultra and it so good and fast for multi tasking that I wouldn't trade it for these devices. The writing experience on the s8 is amazing too. I'd only consider these devices if your eyes need the rest or if you'll use them primarily or exclusively for writing.

Thanks for the video, but you didnt show one of the most important differences between them and that is the speed of the devices in self and the ghosting performance in different modes (2gb nore ram in bigme vs dedicated gpu in Onyx). The reader I don't know why you still doesn't use the default one becaouse is the only one you can set a lot of thing and can change the whole experience reading in the device (refresh, ghosting, anotations, filters, library, etc...). The last thing to me the test you should be do with the recomended settings of the devices and not 0 in all because the calibrations of the screens is different, so the default settings or recommended settings should be better because is hiw the brand want you use the device.

@Good e-Reader is not about that, are things you can do to improve in some test when you compare 2 different devices and specifically when those devices are similar and the software plays a big role 😉. I have the bigme and that's why I indicated the recommended settings because for what I can tell in the video the recommended settings in bigme is 2/100/0 and that gives you the "best image quality" or what the brand think is the best for they calibration. In Onyx is 30/0/0 for some reason, so I don't know how the vivid enchantment affects the default settings or things like that...any way, are only thoughts you can improve that's it 😉.
