But when you compete with the likes of PORSCHE you have to provide top service, up-to-date infotainment, long lasting parts, and a committed dealership. All these were Jaguar‘s weak spots. Rawdon Glover = raw dong lover. It’s literally his name. What a wrong move they’ve made. The male host was absolutely spot on with his comments. Raw dong lover is clueless.
Hate the new logo, what's the point of a rebrand where the only thing carrying over is the name? They also seem to have rejected all of their sporting pedigree and the understated luxury the brand carried. Also funny that they come out with the slogan "copy nothing" and the shape and style has clear inspirations. By all means, this can turn out successfully financially (I could see rappers and actors that like to bring attention to themselves buying a blingy car that stands out) but they've taken everything the brand was behind the shed and put a shotgun to its neck.
Jaguar’s reputation was destroyed when FORD bought them over 20 years ago. The beautiful legacy died a long time ago, stripped of all the things that made it special. Calling this new thing a Jaguar is an insulting joke. It’s now a Tata. An Indian owned product.
It has been 15 years since Ford owned Jaguar. Believe that ship has sailed. 1999 Ford bought Jaguar, 2008 Ford sold Jaguar. Must have been a great 9 year legacy in your mind.
It’s fascinating how much attention is given to a concept and a hypothetical future driven by an ad campaign, especially when compared to Tesla, which runs no ads and focuses on real innovation.
We don't care if everyone hates us because we are very pleased to see the response. Do you have cash in the bank to go next decade without making sales?
I remember in 1990 Jaguar pretty much dismissed Giorgetto Giugiaro's lovely Kensington concept. Jaguar's current management must have shares in perfume advert agencies.
4:35 "all electric" this director has been living under the rock for the past few years. Electric cars are awfully unpractical, people are fed up with them, same goes for the woke garbage they used in the commercial.
They’re reversing what the Germans and Italians did when MB, Porsche, et al added SUVs to the lineup so as to not lose those sales to other makers. These won’t be Jags as much as they are really Land Rover sedans and coupes that will give LR customers something to pair with their Defenders and Velars. The concept styling reminds me of the luxe-fashion look they gave the LR line. The existing Jag line wasn’t closing that retention loop for them.
Electric luxury cars, like the Mercedes EQS and Audi e-tron GT, have struggled globally due to low sales, signaling limited space in this segment. Jaguar's all-electric pivot by 2025 and Rolls-Royce's Spectre face similar risks, with buyers hesitant to equate electric innovation with traditional luxury. This could mark a turning point or the decline of iconic brand if they fail to align electric offerings with their legacy appeal.
Okay- 4 door concept, two seats. From first glance, it looks like it's putting the old XJS chassis back to work. Wouldn't surprise me, they've done that over the past 30 years

Well with the overwhelming competition from Chinese EVs , it doesn’t matter what concept car you unveil , you are not able to compete with the Chinese at the given price points and they are rolling out new models every week ! The competition among the Chinese is already brutal. Nissan , Stellantis , Jaguar will be the first to fold , even VW looks bleak , you need to be blind not to see the tide is changing rapidly.
