    Is there a video for building of the wasteboard? It's been awhile since I've used my cnc... I need to get back to using it.. I was thinking about giving Easel a try.. I tried Carvco and got rather frustrated.. Good job Paw Paw!

    I have a foxalien 4040xe but my soft ware does look different from what you have . I do not have land line internet where I live so I have down load every thing to SD card using hot spot from phone but I do like the new spoil board . I have only been doing this for about six months and I do like some of the tips and tricks that you post on utube I am still learning thanks for all the knowledge

      What software are you using? Since the internet is weak you could use VCarve Desktop and use Openbuilds controller to run your CNC. Thank you very much.

    Have you perhaps in another video discussed those items on your spindle wide of the bit? Perhaps supports or what?

    Thanks for the explanations, they are extremely valuable for me who am just starting out. I have just ordered a 3030 Pro CNC machine from Sainsmart Genmitsu and I am looking forward to learning how to work with it. It would be very helpful if someone experienced would make a list of what to keep in mind first for a beginner. Apparently Easel is by far the most intuitive program to work with CNC. Can you recommend other similar programs?
    I am particularly I am interested in what settings and bits are used for engraving and cutting in acrylic? Thank you very much! All the best to your beloved!

      After you outgrow the Easel the next program that I would recommend is VCarve desktop by Vectric. You will need a controller software. I use Openbuilds which is amazing and is free. This program sends the gcode that you create in VCarve to the CNC machine.

      @@PawPawsWorkShopIn a few words, what is the difference between Easel and Gcode? Why i need the Gcode and what will be the benefit of using Gcode? Thank you for your explanations, they are valuable! All the best!

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  9 месяцев назад

      Easel is a complete package. You can design with CAD. The CAM generates the gcode that is sent to the machine and controls the machine. VCarve for example allows you to design and generate the gcode. You need another software such as UGS Universal Gcode Sender or the Openbuilds controller to send the gcode to the machine and comtrol the machine

    Where is your shop in one of your rooms? as i need to remove my shop from the basement as damp in there and don't know really what to do as will have to build a shed in the garden i think?

      My living area is upstairs. My shop is on the first floor (ground level). You can not have basements in this part of the country. Homes are built on slabs or are raised.

      Sorry, no I do not. I bought this CNC machine long before I was creating videos. I started my channel in part to be able to help new users to the CNC world to help speed up the learning curve. I remember the struggles that I had in the beginning.

    What is the difference between home and zero?

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  Месяц назад

      When you home the machine it will go to the “machine home position”. Once you have the machine homed you then need to determine where your workpiece is positioned. Usually the bottom left corner of the workpiece is going to be the “work zero position”. You will need to move the machine to that point. Place the spindle with the bit installed around the that bottom left corner. In the controller you can then set the x,y position to zero. That is the “work zero position”. Next, you will need to probe the z axis.

    • @PawPawsWorkShop

      Yes, if you are using Easel then as you go through the checklist you will set the z. The controller is built into the software.

    I have a foxalien masuter 4040 and trying to do signs. Lettering. I cant figure out what feed rates, plunge rate, depth per pass to use on easel. I have vbits. Can you help me please.

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  Год назад +1

      The easiest and best way to begin is to use the standard settings in Easel. You can made adjustments from that point
