Great video, but there's some confusion on the routing process it seems. If your main signal is routed to bus 2 and has an aux send to bus 1 (the bus with the high frequencies) there is no need to route bus 1 into bus 2 also. In this situation, ideally bus 1 should stay routed to the stereo out
Thanks for watching! Are you using Logic? Not sure about other DAWs, but in Logic, if I want to process the send and original channel collectively, they need to be sent to the same bus.
Soo that's why the decibels are unequal after I put effects! Because the "mid or not mid" image is created on the sides too. The side image appears with reverb and delay. Ahhh. Thank you
I have a question after this: I use FL Studio and it feels like some DAWs have better Bus processing through Aux than FL Studio or I'm using wrong settings. If I put a(stock FL) reverb directly on vocal. It sounds almost full. If I send it through another bus then - The initial vocal chain and the new verb bus have to go to a "created master bus" not the default master bus. I think my quality gets lost there as my vocals even become further(not in the face). If I avoid using multiple buses then I can get a more clear upfront sound.
@@UndergroundPlu9 Fl Studio user. Should I tell you to do a basic thing in your daily life that you know well to do or are you just trying to be helpful? Because it doesn't sound helpful at all. Did you even read what I said?
@@actosium Wasnt trying to be rude but okay let me get specific. When u bus a verb/delay do you have the wet on 100% & dry on 0%? Do you make sure the vocal processing is FULLY done before u add reverb? Its okay to blend multiple different verbs, subtly if yk how to do so. Therefore if your verb sounds fine on the vocal track instead of a bus, u could probably add another verb to widen or maybe put chorus/modulation on the reverb to give movement & make it even fuller when sending. It could be an array of different things messing with your mix. Just test out every part & see what works. Maybe your verb's decaying too long, the wet is too low, the dampness sounds dry or basic. It's all trial & error! Hope this helped bro
Are you referring to in-ear monitors? Perhaps for mixing they could work if you really take the time to learn them, assuming they have a full and flat frequency response. However, for stereo mixing and especially mastering you'll be likely to lose out on a lot of the important information regarding imaging since there's almost no air between the drivers and your eardrums. I'm sure for tracking they'd be great though, probably less bleed issues than traditional headphones.
If you follow the video you should be able to replicate the results, however if you're having any troubles with your mix/master and need more feedback+help definitely consider joining the membership program!
How can anyone’s computer handle all those plugins? You’d basically have to have a super computer to not bog down the CPU. I don’t know about anybody else , but I would think that most people on here have standard home Mac or PC computers. Just saying.
Sorry to hear this! Definitely reach out to their team and share any crash notes/information you have to see if they might know what'd be causing that issue
This is a dope video. But the way you are parallel processing the vocal is incorrect. You should be processing the entire vocal range, usually having the same EQ moves on the parallel version. Not shaving off the whole body then just compressing the highs. What your doing is a trick. Not the standard way to parallel process a lead vocal....Yeah your vocal is crispy, but is lacking body now. Your also slappin a reverb directly onto the parallel vocal track?? These are not things I would suggest doing. Your verbs should always be on a seperate bus if you want control over whats going on.
This parallel processing is very much important to sound professional in mobile speakers.
100%!
the finished sound is awesome and exactly what ive been looking for for a long time!! i cant wait to try it out!!
Awesome! Hope it helps with your next project 👍
Always so thoughtful in your tutorials - thanks
best music engineer channel in the game
ehhh. I would say no. Produce like a pro take that cake.
Impressively Detailed
This is exactly what I needed to see. The logistics of Routing and summing gets confusing . Thank you
You're very welcome Paul, thanks for watching!
I applied same method on both cubase and FL. All I can say is thank you
Awesome! Great to hear it's helpful 👍
Can you make a video using Rock vocals
Also a drum mix. Love the details
We can definitely look into that, thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for diving into the routing in the beginning. Haven’t been able to find much info about proper routing

damn Im so excited to dive into this. you guys seriously rock will be coming to you for more!
Thanks a Lot
Woow works like magic, thank you Sage Audio.
I preferred the non-autotuned version myself.
Ive beeeeen waiting for you to make a video for hiphop
Superb techniques

Dear sage audio could you please tell me how can we clip gain in fl studio it isn't as easy as the other DAWs
The white circle under an audio clip is the gain
Nice

@@actosium you could also try bussing your verb normally & use a pre-master bus like u said to put a light comp for tightening/presence
But when the fader pops up for the bus processing do you set that fader to unity gain or what ?
When you add a bus for parallel processing, it already is at unity gain.
i know its all the same but will it be possible for you to make a video on how to get such type of crips vocals in FL STUDIO with STOCK PLUGINS?
brother there are so many fl studio tutorials out there
@@babyslickj yes but the way he did was mind blowing so would love to know that does the stock plugins have such type of potential
@@Tintin___ imma tell you right now they do

Heard of them and saw some popular "gaming" brands
Are they good?

Is that you singing again?
Nope, this is from one of the practice sessions on our website from a previous client. The song is called "Shawshank"!
