Hey Amelia! It was so great to listen to another way that two individuals share their life and love. My boyfriend and I will not be exploring an open relationship because we both agreed from the beginning we wanted a monogamous relationship. This has opened my eyes to what others do and helped me not be so judgemental about the topic. Just because it does not serve me doesn't mean it is not beautiful for someone else's life. I never judged hard just always had questions that made me feel like I was judging. This video answered so much and made me look at the concept so differently. Also so stoked my question made it in the vid lol! Love you and what you are doing for the world! Mahalo sista 🌈❤🌊

Hi Amelia ! I’ve been following you for a long time, since you were posting smoothie pictures on your Instagram ! ✨ it’s been so refreshing to hear your story and beliefs on love. It actually sparked so many wonderful conversations between my husband and I.
I want to say, I truly admire how attentive you are when Matt is speaking and how articulate you are. I strive to be as articulate as you are one day!
Thank you for opening up your relationship to the public eye. It’s helps so many people and like I mentioned before , even though my husband and I are still monogamous, it has sparked different ideas and thought like possible having experiences together with someone else. Hearing your story has been a catalyst for me and has really opened up my mind. Thank you thank you thank you.
So grateful that I get to share time in this lifetime while you are in it.

I'm not sure why she keeps telling the audience what he's meaning to say. She keeps looking at him like a teacher with a student who is about to give the right answer...but when it's not exactly right for her narrative, she tells him what he actually meant to say and he kinda goes along with it.
She's clearly leading this conversation and it doesn't at all seem to be equal. She has strong convictions on every question and if he doesn't, she makes sure to project her strong convictions onto him with a smile.

Hi Vera, thanks for your message.
Like I said in the video. We don’t have a belief system representative of the society, we haven’t for a long time and my kids have been exposed to free thought since an early age. My kids don’t hold any resentment on how I navigate my relationship experiences and they are old enough to reiterate their concerns if they do. As for our future kids, they will have little to no influence from us. Of course they will bare witness to all aspects of love, and all kinds of different types of relationships.

I get everything you say about experience life. But you can always do that when you’re not committed to someone else. I can feel Emilia is struggling with her confidence, especially when she say something like “want to know why he is attracted to her” and “maybe I can be more like her so he will be attracted to me too”

We definitely have unique individual perspectives.
When we find these non conditional loving connections that are quite hard to find, we no longer have to bite our tongues or fit ourselves inside a box to please the perception of our how others partners expect us to be. Become. We can just be brutely truthful and allowing another human to love us for that truth.
As humans we will always make mistakes, which is part of our deeper learning processes, and partnering another human with this understanding of such unique individuality Is only going to advance the evolution of not ones self but everyone else that enters the experience. ✨

Anything that prompts us to go deeper within ourselves, to uncover the layers or to identify them at the very least is evolutionary for our higher truer selves. I’m about 50 pages in to The Ethical Slut and reading on paper) & listening on RUclips), to things I have felt for so long is really validating. I truly feel as though I’ve been opened up to a different realm of life (similar to how I felt when I went vegan nearly 7 years ago). That's so beautiful to gear Alexandra ✨
It's so true, once we adopt a more conscious creative way of living, as in vegan foods etc.
Once we see that we can relate more healthily and eat more healthily, we start to deconstruct the construct put in place to ultimately make us suffer (our human health) (our human connections).
We can then look deeper into how are we being educated, who influences our education, where do we get our information from, government? Media?
It's amazing to see so many people breaking it all down and disposing of what no longer serves them. It's beautiful.

Hello Amelia and Matt ! Appreciate you sharing and being so vulnerable and raw with each of your individual experiences with your open relationships.
This has really brought me some clarity on the differences between open and polyamory. I think you ~ Amelia were the person who sparked my curiosity about alternative ways to enter a relationship other than a monogamous one.
Which I am so incredibly grateful for ! I notice as the years pass by that I continually am finding ways to get out of my own way … and by that I mean ~ I AM coming to terms more and more with these feelings and seeing them for what they truly are. And at the end of the day ~ allowing myself to set with it. Even if that means just being aware and not forcing myself to change in such drastic ways but starting to initiate that process of ~~ okay what’s serving my higher self in this moment ? And taking those baby S T E P S .
Anywhoooo ~ long story short I appreciate and value your content and have for years .

I know with my two kids.
Exposing them to other people (that you attract/connet to) is only going to be beneficial to their growth and development.
If you are a gentle loving, kind person, ultimately you will attract the same and having more people like this around our children the more contrast and diversity they will grow into.
They of course don't need to reproduce the same patterns of your connecting creative style, but they witness it merely as a contrast and I feel most children don't ever have the experience to see other forms of human relating. 🙏

Hi Olivia! Wow! Thank you so much for your lovely and thoughtful comment. I will say with complete transparency that I've never been "Perfect" (of course!) at managing my emotions and have absolutely had some big bouts of jealousy and fear of abandonment / fear of matt moving on with another woman come to the surface over the last 4 years. But what I will say is that MEETING the other women, having an in person chat with them, creating a space to get to know them, (and vice versa) and also speak to them personally about any concerns or questions they may have about our relationship style and the devotion matt and I have to one another has HELPED calm my big emotions tremendously. Almost as if i created all of these big dramatic "what if" stories in my head and then after only a few minutes of meeting them, my nerves are calmed and 9/10 times i can honestly say I feel like "Oh i totally understand why youre attracted to her! She's interesting / funny / smart / interesting. etc." So ... its helped me. And i think i figured that out pretty early on!

When those big emotions came up, how did you work through them (other than meeting his partners and calming the big "what if" stories running around your mind)? I would say those are normal emotions that, as a man, I would want to reassure that you are my only permanent relationship. I'd have to set strong boundaries and conduct the open part together, in person with one another, with possible rare exceptions. Your relationship is the #1 priority. Being with others should, I believe, only serve as an enhancement of your marriage, not a part of your lives that is held equally important.
