Oh the amount of times I wanted to fix the roads and terrain in snowrunner. Sometimes in roads it was just that "1 part" and now we can do it. I'm so excited for this!!
What I really want is kind of like a safe and rescue game from snowrunner people. Would be cool if we can also get off the truck, grab a chainsaw and rescue people from disaster or something
I wonder if a whole new set of contracts become available once you complete the roads and repair the devastated town? Like does the game/map end after that? I think it would be cool if you could start doing deliveries like Snowrunner after cleaning the town up.
doing this in real life is interesting but very slow and dealing with weather is the worst about it but the work is very challenging- playing a game of it is incredible and i am looking forward to it
Well. You must know that's how simulators came to be like. At all. And is ultimately what a true simulation is doing. How many people will go from curious about a blue collar career to pursuing one after trying this game out and seeing more than they would otherwise?
@@bvrsqzr3569 I feel like its more to align with ADD or ADHD, Like the farming simulator games market off that whole ADD thing like itll even give you achievements suggesting that its just the beginning and youre going to get addicted to the feeling, Im not sure what the science is behind it but the whole concept of restoration and fixing something to its original state that scratches the itch behind ADD, Atleast thats my theory on it because if you think about it; Who would want to play a game were you farm all day, or build a road all day? But the truth is its actually pretty funny and enjoyable to complete these tasks over and over
I love how this whole series of games came from humble idea at an Intel game dev competition but didn't just take off for the stars right away. They made game after game, letting the tech catch up to their ideas while sharpening their new ideas in each game. Reminds me of the way CDPR took their time without promisin the world while making the witcher series. Hell, When wither 3 came out and everyone was going gaga, I didn't buy it because I figured it was just more Witcher 1&2, which were good games, but nothing like the third installment. Can not wait to play this game!
A great idea... but I get the feeling, this will be far from what we're dreaming. I couldn't help but notice they had a spool truck and a tugger for stretching/buring wires for infrastructure... so that will be cool. Just knowing these are sand bed roads in a flood area aggravates the hell outta me. I'm hoping for different class materials. It would also be cool if they incorporated modern things like geofoam blocks and concrete cloth. Some pre-cast concrete forms and culverts would be cool. As the game improves, it would be nice to have replayable maps, where you could see how your new infrastructure holds up to another flood.

It has a very inspiring aspect to rebuild after hard times 👍 When I was a kid I used to build roads by using the bumpers of my toy cars and trucks to carve out roads in the ground under my verandah. Seeing this at the age of 49 takes me back. hahah 😆

I was begging the devs all over social media to do a patch update and allow us to push dirt, mud and move rocks around to make the roads better etc. then the gods answered with this game
while playing the other games and you gotta haul all the stuff it, i always wanted to see the bridges built etc.. not just pop in completed, i bet this game will have you not only hauling the materials but then building it too
Definitely check out SnowRunner. I feel like it’s their best one currently available. I never tried Expeditions, the most recent one, because they took away some aspects I loved, and the reviews are mixed.

The developers say it has less to do with driving and more to do with building. I suspect this is going to be less like Snowrunner and more like Construction Simulator.
That one scene looks like you could do some automation as well. I hope the building is not as difficult as in the gold mining simulator. Which was realistic, but pretty much impossible to make smooth ramps with mouse and keyboard.
HI, Road Craft looks like it might just be the game that at least some of us have been very patiently waiting a really long time for. If the game is close to reality in how it works with repairing etc it will be worth having. As for Tonka trucks, that was something I never owned. I was given a shovel to assist my parents to repair the many kilometres of access track to be able to purchase supplies.
I really wish some dev would come out with a brand new and reworked SimCity that has mechanics in it like this, fully terraformable land, bridge building, all of it. SimCity 4 was one of my all time favorites. That genre went sideways sadly with skylines. We all know what we want out of a great city building game. I imagine the reason we haven’t gotten a great simcity game is there simply isn’t a large enough fan base. What we need is a triple-AAA title city builder. I don’t think we’ll ever get it like how we would want it (I’m pretty sure most of us builders all have the same ideas in mind when it comes to features) Tbh I’m even worried about another one coming out… especially since the general consensus with studios seems to hardcore push any and all monetization methods they can. So… we’ll likely be paying real world money for an in game currency to purchase building types (by unlocking skins and possibly features) Truth told… if a dev came out with a really good builder, I wouldn’t mind paying through the nose for it. But this day and age, again, I feel like there’s no market for a substantial investment into actually making a great builder. Unless the devs went all out and allowed players to take control of citizens in some way, making it both a city builder, and third person game. Think Grand Theft Auto meets SimCity. The player would only be able to take control of the mayor, or any city worker, like police, firefighters, maybe construction workers. Build roads, bridges, buildings…. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll ever see anything remotely similar in our lifetimes.😅
First of all, Ace Combat 7 OST, amazing music choice. I've been playing Spintires since the alpha and I've been WAITING I've been waiting for a game like this to be announced. I'm amazed it's finally happening. But I'd still be careful, the scope of this game is incredibly large, so we may not be able to do everything we think we can do, just something I want people to keep in mind.

Interesting looking game. I would love a game where one could build a railroad. Be presented with a landscape and to figure out the most efficient, cost-effective way of building a train route through it (leveling ground, building bridges, making tunnels, making cuts, getting equipment there to do the work, etc.), and to be able to pick different time eras in history to do it. And then to run a railroad on it, sort of in the vein of Railroad Tycoon II with a full stock market capability.
just hope this is just delivery and you watch the work get done i hope that we can actually reshape and do the work ourselves like laying the dirt, rock, sand and tarmac or asphalt

Looks great, this franchise always seems to lack multiplayer support though, expeditions not having multiplayer is why i didn't get it at launch and if a construction game doesn't have multiplayer i prolly wont buy this either sadly as im fairly content with playing Out of Ore.
I loved them all, but expeditions itched a scratch the others didnt, due to it being more of a freeform puzzle game. You have no roads, no saftey, no nothing - just your own brain an resources to find the best route, or the route that actually works lol

It's familiar , but unlike any other driving game. Very relaxing one minute , and teeth clenching the next . I have a fair bit of real off road experience and think they really nailed the physics on this too . If you treat the trucks like your own It can make the difference between making it or not . Oh yes! Oh god yes! This is one of the things i liked doing in Death Stranding. The game sounds like it would be terrible but i feel myself tweaking. Going into withdraws waiting for this game.
Let us hope they'll finally come back to manual gearboxes, physics of Mudrunner, and complete multi USB-devices compatibility. You know, for those who enjoy driving old trucks with something else than a gamepad. Nothing wrong with gamepads, but it's a shame people have to go back to Mudrunner if they have something else than a G29 kit 😭 (again, nothing wrong about players...but developpers, please, develop 😉). And please don't forget multiplayer from day 1... Can't wait to see what's what ! Cheers !

Game looks amazing. I will definitely be getting it when it comes out.... i love all the previous games and own them all. One thing that really ticked me off was that snow runner didnt have anywhere on the case that internet was required to play it. I got it and took it on the road with me just to find out i couldn't play it until I got home lol... would have been nice to have known that and not to have found out the hard way😂
If it only requires an online connection so it can log in, and not for multiplayer, then you could probably get away with using your phone as a hotspot, letting you play on the road! Do you have a console or gaming laptop in your truck or something?

After playing Snowrunner for the first few days, building roads with heavy machinery appeared in my dreams. Keeping an eye on roadcraft for sure!

this is a dream game for me. everything i wanted to do in snowrunner.
I've heard devs have said the driving isn't going to de snowrunner standards as its more of a construction simulation...😢
I hope they allow mods this game will be sick if you can mod to different tractors to build roads with
This game and GTA 6 are the only games I'm looking forward to in 2025 as of now

Oh yes! Oh god yes! This is one of the things i liked doing in Death Stranding.
The game sounds like it would be terrible but i feel myself tweaking. Going into withdraws waiting for this game.
Let us hope they'll finally come back to manual gearboxes, physics of Mudrunner, and complete multi USB-devices compatibility. You know, for those who enjoy driving old trucks with something else than a gamepad. Nothing wrong with gamepads, but it's a shame people have to go back to Mudrunner if they have something else than a G29 kit 😭 (again, nothing wrong about players...but developpers, please, develop 😉). And please don't forget multiplayer from day 1...

I thought mudrunner and snowrunner was that but it was only small bridges .

My prediction…you litro just build roads and that’s it. Nothing more, I was hoping from the thumb nail that it was gonna be something like Teardown where you have to build the whole city
Game looks amazing. I will definitely be getting it when it comes out.... i love all the previous games and own them all. One thing that really ticked me off was that snow runner didnt have anywhere on the case that internet was required to play it. I got it and took it on the road with me just to find out i couldn't play it until I got home lol... would have been nice to have known that and not to have found out the hard way😂
If it only requires an online connection so it can log in, and not for multiplayer, then you could probably get away with using your phone as a hotspot, letting you play on the road! Do you have a console or gaming laptop in your truck or something?
Respect . Not my type of thing, but I will give props to the great detail and game mechanics, if they pull it off.
