I've seen quite a few videos on nail tips, but I knew you guys would go into the detail that I needed to become more comfortable and confident in applying tips.

    There are simply no words to describe how amazing your teachings are. I did an online Polygel course between Dec 2020 - July 2021. I have my certificate but I've not been 100% confident to start offering enhancements on my services as I've always lacked somewhere. After watching this video which you recommended for me. I tried your method (I used base UV gel instead of glue...as my glue is finished) The technique is on point. I just need to brush up on my French tips as the smile line didn't come out so clean ..but overall I can now apply a tip 🥰 I'm so excited. Pretty soon I will be able to add on extensions to my services list. Thank you so do much 💓

    🙋🏽‍♂️Hey YoungNail's team! With the holidays coming up, and my girlfriend's birthday I want to get her a kit from YoungNails, but I don't really know what to get when I went to your store online. She likes to keep polish on her nails but does complain about the short lifetime of the polish she uses. She's not currently into the acrylic or anything that adds thickness to the nail because she types a lot. If I buy her a one stage gel polish from your website do I need to also buy her a LED light to cure it? All the kits seem centered around acrylic is there one for gel Polish, because I would also like her to have access to the other products I see in the kits like the buffer and cleansing pads. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

    • @britnikpow8445

      Get the instant studio kit! It’ll give her EVERYTHING needed, and it’s waaaay cheaper than any of their other kits. It comes with top and base as well as 3 colored polish. None of those need a light to cure. It also comes with buffers, tips, and tons of other accessories. Anything other than GEL polish, you won’t need a light for.

    What do you do if they have a wider/deeper curved nail so when you glue the tip down the corner points on each side don’t stay down, so either 1 point or the other maybe even both wont stay?.. but then the middle of the tip is Glued on good

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  9 месяцев назад

      If you are applying with regular glue, you would simply need to apply pressure to the sides where there is a slight gap. This will press the tip to the nail surface and allow the glue to set and hold the nail down.

      You would apply the same way. The nail tip would just cover more surface of your natural nail. You would also blend it the same as this one; However, since it's a bigger coverage you could use your efile medium arbor band to help blend the tip with the natural nail. Or you can use your hand file if not comfortable using an efile yet. 👍🏾 Hope this helps.

    • @MRSwifey559
      @MRSwifey559 3 года назад

      Full cover tips usually have a well where the Natural nail is supposed to be, I think if you lay it too far down it will look odd or you will end up gluing it downwards trying to get the nail to fit in the well? I’m not a professional, that’s just my thought.

      Yes, as long as the curve of the tip fits properly on the c-curve of the natural nail and from sidewall to sidewall, you can glue the tip on at whatever point you wish- full coverage, half of the nail or you can even file out part of the "well" area of the tip and just glue it right at the free edge like a traditional half-well tip.

      There's a couple of reasons to blend your tips... If you are using a clear or translucent acrylic as an overlay, you want to blend the tip so you don't see the seam. Also, the less plastic you have, the more you can build the structure with the acrylic. The acrylic will be a stronger enhancement than having that full layer of plastic and less acrylic.
