Thanks for your question, I cover this in my program Piriformis Control. In the first module, I'll take you step by step through a few simple assessments to identify the weak muscles (underactive) and also the overactive tight ones. This helps to get to the root imbalances causing the pain. The plans to correct these weaknesses & imbalances are included. The link to sign up is here: www.coachsofiafitness.com/piriformis-control
Thank you! I actually would advise you focus on deep core strengthening exercises to increase stability and support your spine in that case. I'd just do the stretches in the video to help with hip releases. Core stabilization helped me a lot when I had a disc herniation more than spinal-focused stretches. I have many videos here and a beginner program as well here www.coachsofiafitness.com/core
I do have a problem standing on my knees. (I’ve got 2 new knees) They hurt when I try to do it. I can’t see how else I could do these stretches. I can do some of them in my bed.
Hi there, most of these stretches are not on your knees though. Only the first one. If you can't get on the floor at all, you can do them on your bed. I have shared many standing stretches on my channel as well. Just research 'standing ' in my video search and you'll see all the standing routines. I hope this helps.

Hi I thought you mentioned something about identifying which muscle is weak and possibly causing your pain. Was trying to find this information thanks
