  • Adarsh M. Thaker, UCLA interventional endoscopist, reviews the full spectrum of current weight loss options, including bariatric endoscopy. This refers to newer, minimally invasive endoscopic treatments which do not require surgery, including endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) and weight loss balloons. Finally, for patients who have re-gained weight after a prior bariatric surgery, he also discusses revision procedures, including the transoral outlet reduction (TORe) procedure.

Less than a week out from my 2nd TOR-E that Dr. Thaker performed on me. I highly recommend him as a dr. Thank you Dr. Thaker!

Great tutorial 👌 👍 I like that we now have more options than just flat out getting 50 %to 80% of your stomach removed. 😊

Wow..thank-you Dr. Thaker. Is there a similar procedure for sleeve gastrectomy that has dilated?

There is indeed. It is similar to the ESG procedure with some minor technique differences, just on a narrower stomach. Thank you for watching!

Yes, I definitely need a revision. My gastric bypass was a fail sadly. 😠

@@kiriyoga4028 Not everyone will broadcast a bad result. Like anything in life, there are ups and downs. In my case this surgery triggered a thyroid issue. Once I get that under control, I'm hopeful my weight loss journey will resume.

@@kiki1965 oh I see.. This makes me reconsider, actually.. I hope your issue is temporary and fixable. 🤞

@@kiriyoga4028 Listen, don't base your result on mine or anyone else's. What did (or didn't) work for me, may not be your story. You won't know unless you do the research and take a chance. For all the the successes out there, there is also some setbacks. Some fixable, some not. Whatever you choose to do, go on faith that everything will turn out for the best. 🦋
