Cecília Barros of the Projeto Oficina-Escola de Artes e Ofícios (POEAO) received an award from the Programa I AM, Iniciative Jovem Anhembi Morumbi, the YouthActionNet® National Institute in Brazil, which is co-sponsored by the International Youth Foundation, the Universidade Anhembi Morumbi, and the Sylvan/Laureate Foundation. In 2009, Cecília Barros, was honored as a Global Fellow for the International Youth Foundations Global YouthActionNet® program. Cecilia's program provides disadvantaged youth with the skills needed to rehabilitate historic buildings and preserve the local cultural heritage.
