Hey Will, I live south enough that "most" winters don't kill off our bananas. I've been told the absolute best thing to help them for the next years production is to cut them just like you did here, but to place the cuttings around the plant, kinda like a mulch. It's best to try and cut it up as much as possible. Anyways, just thought I would lyk. I always enjoy watching your videos!!!!❤❤, Lori
Yeah that's a good idea, I know bananas like a lot of organic matter. I did add compost around them after this, so that'll help. I forgot until you mentioned it, & I should of tried it, but I've heard of folks cutting the trunk up to about 4 ft. & placing a barrel on top, that way they already have that growth for next spring. Will have to do that next year
How exciting to have some chickens to raise and the bone broth 🤤 wow it looked so savory. I wanted to wish you both a very happy holiday and cozy winter season. All the very best, Dee xoxo
Wish you would have left that long cedar post! A little chainsaw art would have been great! Chainsaws, the REAL cordless power tool! You get up to cool doings and it is fun to watch! Also, we made deer bone broth because of you, so thanks!
We live off venison broth all year! Nothing goes to waste round here. PS- We feed the leftover meat from the broth to our dogs, but my gramma likes to make hash out of it,if you wanna try that as well
@@HoneybeeHollowGardens I checked it out. Very cool. I live in very flat, heavily glaciated NW Ohio where there are no slopes but I do remember seeing something similar while driving cross country in Iowa and wondering what I was looking at. Now I know! Ya learn something new every day. Thank you
Thanks Will!
Very nice 👍🎄

& the worms loved the banana trunk, btw
Your expertise at the land levels is priceless Will.
It’s my craft!
Great video. You are so interesting. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas!
Pumpkin vine fed venison broth! The key line from the drone shot was fascinating. Great video.
Got em’
Personally, I think the keylines are beautiful in the drone shots.
I think so too, can’t wait to see the strips of green in the spring
The drone shots of the field looked like we were looking at a topographic map. Pretty cool.
It can be used as an actual on-the-ground topographical map

What brand/kind of dish soap are you using or what's the active ingredient that's helping the hydrophobic beds.
I’m not sure on the type of soap, nor do I know the chemistry. It does work well though.
🌻✌️
🤙🤘🏼👌🏽✌️👍
Not really understanding the purpose of the land contouring…
They help hold water when it rains heavily.
@@kimwood6632 thanks ☺️
Check out keyline design. Great way to more evenly distribute water on your landscape
