There's such a heartfelt feeling when watching someone harvest their home grown produce. The only better feeling is harvesting your own. A feeling only gardeners know. 🌱❤🌱 Happy Gardening
I like your videos because you are REAL. No click baiting, just real content with no music. Love it. Keep up the great work. Your knowledge of so many things is amazing.
What a bountiful harvest! Always love your vlogs - organic, real, drama free, and just refreshing entertainment. It makes this world feel “normal” for a special amount of time. Thank you for sharing. Please post more and often. Best from Canada.
Lovely to see. My dad was a big time believer in a five year compost system. Only after 5 years of tender love and care would compost make it into his garden because he hated weeds. Man he had patience and grew a great garden like you do. Nice work and great feasting
Ya’lls vegetables are simply beautiful. And, that sweet black cat is too cute mingled among the plants. You guys have the life. I know you both work extremely hard, but your harvest is your gift for having done so. Kisses to Bandit and Bo. ♥️🙏🏼♥️
It feels like there’s a rush to get everything harvested. A cold spell must be around the corner. Thank you for sharing the video of your beautiful garden. Your home and land looks great. I’m happy to see the boys and pretty kitty standing guard in the garden with the two of you. Thank you for sharing your videos, I do enjoy watching how much you have accomplished on your homestead.

Your harvest is bountiful, beautiful, and nutritious! It will bless you all year! Job well done, Arielle and Eric! So much organic greens to feed the chickens! @Simple Living Alaska
Organic gardening at it's best! I hope everyone watching this amazing channel is trying it for themselves! All of your posts make me happy☺. Just beautiful!!
Gorgeous wheelbarrow full of onions! I Think I’m in the same camp as you for planting onion bulbs instead of seeds next year too!! I got HUGE onions from the bulbs I planted this year! Also, black cat surrounded by all that green! Great calendar photo! Gorgeous!! (So happy there’s a new video!!) Love love love you guys!!! ❤️
Yay! A trimmer! Even your weeds are huge! Imagine all the veggies that wheelbarrow has hauled. Potatoes were my favorites. The new black rooster is beautiful and that new black hen is lovely. Always a treat to see pepper, too.
I've been sick at home, and I went back and watched episodes from 2018-2021, just like revisiting a favorite TV show. I truly enjoy how you welcome us into your daily lives, and can't wait to see more canning
We have been watching your progress over the years, we are so delighted with all you do. We pray over you both and i even refer to you as my Alaskan kids. Its such a pleasure to see your growth and how both of you adapt and overcome. Be blessed always, Mamaw Charri from Florida.
Watched the video in the first hour! Watching it again in the 7th hour of it's posting. Really enjoy watching the readying for fall harvest and canning. Every year since you began gardening in Alaska my opinion is that the garden has been amazing. Thanks so much for sharing.
Absolutely beautiful harvests! I can only imagine how fantastically fresh and yummy it's going to be! HUGE veggies! Ariel should take pictures and list the top 10 largest items you have grown! As usual kiddos, wonder video.
Those giant turnips (which are glorious) can be sliced thinly in “rounds” and used as a faux tortilla. They pair really well with spicy veg based insides (also pickled stuff) or salted/seasoned fish.
Y'all's harvests are always so amazing! I've been in a slump this year. My hubby was badly injured at work in July and it sent me into a "who cares?' mood. I'm looking forward to getting the Fall garden put in. Besides the injury it has been so hot here this year as well. And when I say hot, I mean over 100 degrees every day for over 8 weeks with no rain. Since Spring we've only gotten just under an inch of rain. It's a depressing gardening year. So, I am so glad to share in the fruits of y'all's labor.
I love you both for all the work that you do a beautiful house you're built! And the love you have between you it's just beautiful! God bless you both on purpose!
I think the combination of cooler weather with immense amounts of sun during summer is what makes things grow so huge up there, in such a short time. Here in North Texas, we can technically grow year round but by the time our days are the longest, they are also scorching hot and dry so the plants struggle. Kind of frustrating! Also, the pests are crazy here, especially the fire ants 🥴
WOW we just re-watched the video from when you first put this lasagne garden in, from bare rocky sandy soil to this garden of bounty. Hard work, sunshine and rain - you must be so proud of yourselves, incredible what you have acheived so far….
I’ve watched you guys grow since you moved to Alaska and I’m so proud of how far y’all have come and what you have learned. Thank you for sharing your journey with us!
Interesting about the onions, I have used bulbs for years, but last year we started seed and onions were double in size...I guess everyone's garden is different...great harvest season you are having!
I just want to lose last weekend get more seeds and actually bought onion seeds which I didn't know that you grow from them. Just stocking up on seeds for next year.
Love seeing Pepper supervise the harvest. I can't believe the size of those turnips . Hope you video cutting in to them. Seems like just the other week you guys were planting out the gardening now it's harvest time .
Love watching you , planting your garden, harvesting the garden and your fishing! Love all the projects you do on your homestead! My favorite is when you start canning everything you grow. It is so interesting your way of life!!! If my day isn't going so well, I will watch you and it helps.❤🥰 thank you for letting us into your lives 🥰❤❤
What a phenomenal garden! My father always grew about an acre and a half to feed us for the winter but one thing he always did was to wait until there had been a good frost before harvesting the turnips. It made them much sweeter that those harvested without a frost. Take care, I really enjoy watching your videos!
Yeah I just read that about carrots and I planted mine about a month ago along with some other seeds such as squash plants and snow peas. Don't know if they'll make it in time but I thought I'd give it a shot.

What a magnificent harvest your lovely garden has yielded this year. I’m sure it’s because of all the love and effort you put in it. It payed of this year!
You two are awesome! And, what a harvest! Always amazed about the bountiful cool season crops you're able to harvest...understandably the Peppers and Tomatoes suffer a bit because of the short growing season, but I wonder whether you would have more success with those crops if planted less densely, and/or if you could maybe build a separate "hot house" just for those crops - could be something very simple, without a shade cloth, but 4 or 6 mill greenhouse covering, with enough spacing in-between plants to enable sunshine all around. Love you guys...keep giving us your updates, views and experiences of the great State of Alaska!
I love the sound of roots ripping out of the ground and the crisp cuts of your vegetables! Only in my dreams would I ever achieve such an abundant harvest, but I get to experience it on your channel! Love from CA.
Never a moment to rest. But like the old saying goes, " get it while the gettings good". I don't see how Eric eats those peppers so easily. I can't seem to swallow hot stuff. So nice to visit you two. Thanks
