Switching can lead to incidents as NBSR switching a string of rock loaded former ore cars led to 7 or so derailing and blocking traffic into and out of the yard..great layout.

Thanks! I purchased an Alexander Scale Models derail and modified it to make it pivot. I hear now you can buy ones that function, though I’m not sure what brand that would be.

I sprayed them silver and then when they were glued in place I just made sure to hit them with my track weathering which was a dirty black colour in my airbrush.
