This is awesome!! I’m still using & learning my AX8 but I’m amazed at what the newer units can do 😎👍

Great tips Cooper. I've been blending two amps for a while now but not thought to use the pedal to blend from one to another. Great for gain staging as you suggest. Will be giving that a try tonight!

This is fantastic stuff. I'm waiting for the delivery of an FM9T and I have a lot to learn. These demos are gold!! Definitely going to check out your master class. Cheers!

How do you like your FM9. I got the call. Any regrets- wish you went for anything else or are you totally happy? No GLOBAL settings ability which is a drag. Old UI, no touchscreen, big and heavy and no grab handles. Tone and DSP for DAYS. Also, $1,800 delivered which you could buy 4 Ampero II's for that- and they sound very good too. Any feedback would be appreciated. Turbo is better than non-turbo by 10% and more than double the power of the FM3. I like it has multiple footswitches. It makes it easy to access your patches and scenes. That is a main complaint with the Ampero. Also, with it's looper you can't change tone for the overdub which is terrible. I assume you can do that with the FM9- have one clean dub, then a dirty overdub? Is the looper easy to use?

Fantastic CCFF! Great tips on the cab block & panning/routing the signal flow.

I just add a '59 bassman to just about everything through greenback and tone is crazy good! Add a dookie drive or ? and the sky's the limit. Fractal audio fx 2 ultra still completely shreds. No need for newer costly equipment won't make you better, lol.

Use this along with Coopers " amp in the room " video using a filter block and a GEQ..

thanks for this! it is quite useful and I look forward to employing it. if you could go into how someone can do a tone match for an overdrive/distortion pedal in one of your upcoming Fractal Friday videos I would be highly grateful.

Awesome video man! Not sure if it’s possible, but could you make a video showing how to use one expression pedal to control a different effect per scene? In other words, in scene 1 control just a rotary and in scene 2 control just a wah.

This is a really great FFCC. Thank you for all you do in the Fractal community. Question: Wouldn't you want the pedal-adjusted Volume blocks AFTER the amps/cabs? Placing them before means you're hitting the front of the amps with more/less signal as the pedal travels, which changes the tone and gain, not just the volume, right? I think in this use case you should just be trying to mix the relative volume levels. Am I missing something?

this way sounds more organic to my ears, since it is changing the gain and tone. Putting them after is a more "transparent" way, and of course a valid way to do it. I just like the sound of the two melding a bit more as they change.

Hey Cooper do you have any tips on getting a really good acoustic sound out of a two-humbucker guitar with the Axe FX III without a piezo pickup?

Heavy DSP load, even with the AXEFXIII. But it Sounds fantastic.

This is a LOT of IRs, and some FullRes. Tbh, I wouldn't use this many outside a studio situation.

The last preset you covered didn’t show the volume compensation when using both amp blocks. When you pan further than 50% either way would the volume level decrease? If so how would you compensate for the loss of level? A modifier of some sort?

Coop, you are phenomenal. How many years experience to have doing this stuff? I love your videos, even though I really don't use all the stuff you talk about, but it sure is fun to listen to. Liked, subscribed and have your "Classes" course. BTW, how you don't get blocked for Cinnamon Girl. :-)

Thanks for this, Cooper! Every day I am amazed more and more with my AXF3MkII Turbo. Question: are the G66 FRFR speakers available in North America (Canada in particular), and if so, is there a website link to that? Thanks again!

If your cabs are panned hard L and R, will that still translate if your output is set to Copy L to R (mono)?

  • @cardp17

just beginning my fractal experience. when you're talking dual amp tones and panning full left/right....is this a preset designed to output to two separate (physical) amps (ie, two outputs to two separate amps) or is this intended to still be used in a mono output to a single output? thanks for the great videos!

I must own just an FM3 if I say it's not 10 X the tone but the quality is more pro.

Cannot load the preset on my fm9 unit. Message shown up: "The selected file is only for the Axe Fx III and is not valid for the fm9". Any help for that?

    • @MOAB-UT
      @MOAB-UT Год назад

no don't do that. they are NOT 100% compatible. DSP is not always the issue either. Different features on the III that are not available on the FM9. This protects their sales on their flagship like ultra res IR's- no go on the FM9. That could be your issue right there. There is an online comparison that spells all this out. There ARE differences. Many more between the FM9 and FM3. Don't even think of a FM3 if you want power.

You mentioned that you can lift your tow and heel and have things happen.
Is there a way I can set it up so that when I bust a gust out of my ass the volume will adjust accordingly to cover up the thunder my cheeks make? What about when I shart?
