- Here's a showcase of the current version of the updated car dealership for GT3:C. Things may still change, there's definitely some things I still want to do to it. For example, buyable/prize-only car data will definitely be changed, as that's not final yet. I've had this done for a bit now, but only got around to making a video now. I try to be hasty to showcase everything in the video, not to prolong it. Oh and also, yes, the GT2 Japanese car shop song is in the game!
If you're wondering about the odd textures used, they're there because it's not yet possible to edit in-game textures/create textures properly, so there's a lot of placeholder textures.
I show all the changed content in the video. Changes/updates include the addition of new cars, new dealers, textures, text & font, loading times, and correct car regionalization. (So no fake models!) These cars all also have nearly all parts done, using updated, better GT4 data.
Also, Opel & Vauxhall are available in all languages.

Thanks for making the timestamps! Infiniti I put into the Japan dealer as I believe it's "less american" than Acura was at this point. But if it turns out it was mostly american at this point, I might move it into US dealers. And Hyundai is in Japan due to the lack of a Korean dealer, so it simply says "South Korea" after the name to show the actual origin.

We really are in a blessed era for Gran Turismo modding. I'd love to try it out when it's ready, I'm particularly excited that there's a lot more cars available with the starting budget now.
I'm going to say excellent work so far, I can't believe you expanded the dealership this much. It's looking more like the kind of updated Gran Turismo 3 I always wanted myself. I can't wait to try it myself. :)
Finally, GT3 has a decently sized car list! Glad to see none of the vanilla cars were removed, like the Nissan Z concept.
How many cars are there in total in this mod?
That's a really good job. If this GT3 Concept will include some extra tracks from GT4 Prologue that will be the best GT3 ever made!
The POD in Gran Turismo 3 might be one of the most cursed things i have ever seen
Imagine if its sounds, lights and wagging tail carried over. I imagine that would need source code access to get working though.
I am so excited for this! I think this will be the definitive way to play GT3. I really appreciate you making the RX-7 LM Race Car buyable.
Every playthrough, I always load my save after the Dream Car Cup until I get the FD in Blue.

Only car you are techically missing is a NTSC-JAP Zonda LM (it has 2 different stickers on it which are missing from other releases)
I remember seeing the Zonda LM with different stickers yeah. Maybe with texture editors eventually I can bring those into the updated models.

@@Misuka Misuka chan, as a diehard Nijigasaki High School Idol Club fan, i LOVE all those cars list on GRAN TURISMO 3! Wish GT7 have those concept cars returned on later updates like 1.5. Setsuna Yuki and Emma Verde loved GRAN TURISMO 3 also! So did me! Man GT1 to 6 imo are my racing games hidden gems.

I am absolutely impressed with the progress of the mod, but I have one point of criticism with the mod, and that there's every single localized car crammed into one list.
I get that, but I did try to keep them as "realistic". So there aren't fake Yaris models, for example. I included regionalized versions mostly because they have different colours, and even different models sometimes.
@@Misuka i have to ask tho is there really a noticeable difference between all the mx5s and s2000s cause it really does seem like the same car 6 times which is one of the "problems" of the newer gt games
@@titicaca. The Roadsters do have some differences between them. The S2000s, don't have as much difference. But I've kept them as they have different models, and genuine models. So there aren't inaccurate, not-real cars like european/american "Type V" S2000s.

@@titicaca. Most data I used from GT4, but some cars had incorrect data even in GT4, so yeah, I've done a bit of digging around to find correct data!
Wish GRAN TURISMO 7 have those concept cars back in later updates, especially 1.5...

Looks awesome, though I prefer to keep the prize cars secret and out of the dealerships. I like surprises.
Other than that, I appreciate the effort and am excited to see this project continue. Game modding has come so far in the past few years, so many things I've dreamed about since childhood are now possible. Will the AI drivers be able to use the newly added cars in Career Mode events?
I thought the same initially, but then again, most people already know what cars there are. And yes, I will make the A.I use new cars as well.
From what I see a October-ish being a release point in the earliest and maybe February of next year being latest. Need that polish shine and be as stable it can be.
Actually, that's a pretty good guess. I've thought it to be somewhere between there indeed.

Some questions.
Will the prototype SSR11 that has the Gran Turismo 1 layout be in the mod?
Since you mentioned lowering the number of laps for the late game races, what will the upper limit be? I feel like it should be, at the highest, seven for the end game races (stuff like PD championship and maybe Like the Wind) except maybe the Formula GT, which could maybe have ten lap races.
I doubt the beta SSR11 will find it's way in, simply because it is so buggy.
For the late races, I was thinking of having varied laps, so maybe 7 for some and then 10 for some, but never over 10 I think. I'll keep the Formula GT as it is, as it represents the long races of Formula 1.
i love Gran Turismo because it has every version of your favorite car including non sport cars
Amazing my friend, do you have any idea how many cars were added with this mod? Is it possible to play on PlayStation 3 or only on the emulator? Excellent work, congratulations.
I believe the stock car count (which includes unused cars) is around 240, and the mod currently has around 370 cars, so that's about 130 more.
And it's going to be possible to play with a real PS2 and an emulator, but I'm not too familiar with the PS3 so I'm not 100% certain if it can be played on it. And, thank you!

It absolutely will. Like all car data is updated to GT4 standard, fixing GT4's bugs in the physics & using even GT PSP and GT5 data in some instances to get the most up-to-date data, and of course ensuring all data is still within GT3's format.
And I also see that a lot of the secret cars are now available for purchase from the Car Dealer.
I hope in the future modders could fix the altezza lm edition model to look more like the gt2 version
Some of those cars came out in later games nice mod to have all the cars from the Gran Turismo series
Are event limitations updated as well? Being able to enter with a concept Lancer a Lancer Meeting event and so forth. Just discovered this channel and enjoying it!
Events aren't all updated yet, but I'll be working on them next after I get car data finished.

Hi. Out of curiosity, is it possible to tamper with events? If you can, would it be possible to restore the event "Italian Avant Garde" on PAL and NTSC as to how it was on the Japanese version and bring the Diablo back to the event while also restoring the original artwork?
Also, if the above is possible, just a suggestion, but if you could take Test Course out of the Yaris Cup in Professional League that would be absolutely fantastic. lol
Yes, it is, and I will completely rework the events. I will do something different with the Italian event. I can't really restore the old japanese flier, as it has all text in japanese. I will rework the used courses too, I will reduce the usage of Test course!

I wonder would you consider adding as a colour varient the Esso and Exxon sponsor liveries to the cars that had them like the 206 rally car and the GT-one race car?
Probably not, as they aren't real things, as far as I know.
@@Misuka of course they are the NTSC game had the Exxon Toyota GT-one and we in PAL had the Esso, same for the Peugeot 206 rally car.

@@Misuka ah a see, I know for sure there was no Exxon sponsor Toyota GT-one I prefer the Esso livery but still would have been cool to have them all.
Any plans on getting together with some people to make some easier mod tools for porting in new cars and tracks? This project is absolutely awesome and I really feel like this could be the opportunity for the old Gran Turismo community to have their own Assetto Corsa with GT3.
All we need is a custom event creator.
I would love to, but it's kinda hard to find people who can program and want to collaborate on it.
@@Misuka I would try asking around on racedepartment first and then branch out. Lot of people there who outright scripted major mods for Assetto Corsa, Raceroom, rFactor, etc. If not there, then I would start looking for people with experience creating plugins in Blender (porting car models) or track designer programs (Bob's, etc.)
@@JustSomeDinosaurPerson It's a lot more trickier to work on a game with custom formats so I doubt very much that PC game modders could help much.
@@Misuka It is, but you would be surprised. Lots of savvy people are the reason Blender has so many plugins for importing and exporting models to work in specific game engines, many of which are not public game engines. Can't hurt to try and ask around is all!

The Pod isn't yet defined as a prize car as I haven't yet reworked prize car lists. Also, some of the cars may become prize cars that now are buyable, things may still change!

Polyphony should've made a Sonic 3 & Knuckles route where if you got 2 of those games and connect Sonic 3 with Knuckles (because Sonic & Knuckles have a special connection above the game card), both of them would connect and combine into a full game version.
But I'm not sure how they would even do it. Gran Turismo 3 & Concept(s) uses disk, and disks cannot connect, so...
Maybe make the Memory Card have special data to share to the game a la Dreamcast?
7:30 is the 8spd Skyline hidden in GT4P? Because I don't recall seeing it in GTC

I don't remember if the 350GT is in GT4P, but it does exist in GTC, just unused. It also doesn't have the 8-speed gearbox, as GT3/GTC only supports 7 gears, so it's using the gearbox from the Infiniti G35. And thank you! The mod will be released in all regions as well.
@@Misuka Ahh ok, also, I saw this guy on RUclips by the name of "Ooper" who found out that GT3 can support up to 10 gears! Also, you're very welcome!
Edit: Ahh nevermind, I see he commented that anything over 7 gears will override data and break the game
@@ChilledGemini99 It can be manipulated like that through the game memory, but in the car data, maximum gears & gear ratios is 7.

GT PSP, maybe, eventually. But it'll require new tools.

I know it might be a tall order, but would it be possible to make a version of the mod that reduces the number of laps in some of the events? Specifically towards the end with the final professional and extreme ones?
I don’t mind 5-10 laps per track, but I just don’t have the time to sink into this game like I used to, yet I still want to really enjoy this mod for what it is.
Actually I've thought of doing that for some races as they can be tedious.
@@Misuka I appreciate that! I also understand that some people want the vanilla experience too, but as long as there’s an option to shorten races or a version with them pre shortened I’d be happy, especially since cheat engine is a bit wonky with PCSX2 1.7
@@Super787B I probably wont release 2 versions though. The effect shoudn't that noticeable that it warrants another version. The races will be anyways quite extensively changed.
I really hope Polyphony Digital releases this version of Gran Turismo 3 which appears to have all 3 regions put into a single game.
What’s the name of the song? I tried Shazam and get the song with the car selection song it’s hard to like Shazam this song to like scan the song whenever the car selections sound comes. I just need to know the name of this song I know it’s not the regular car selection theme. This song would fit great to play on the Dallas shopping mall.
I believe it's called From the East, you can search RUclips for like "GT2 From the East".
I noticed the Spyker C8 is still mislabeled as FR (as it was in GT4) when it should be MR. Still, I'm excited to give this mod a spin.

@@Misuka Also, I noticed you actually labeled all the rally cars as WRC cars but I think the Xsara was actually from the F2 Kit Car class and not the World Rally Car class, though it did occasionally race against the World Rally spec cars.
@@indigomizumi It is a F2 Kit Car, but it competed in WRC. It also beat the main WRC cars!

Would it be possible to implement in that mod, that we can set up races ourselves? F.e. Customizing a like the wind race with specific cars and tuned? I can’t get over how fucking cool this is

It's not featured in any PS2 Gran Turismos, so no, unfortunately.
We need to have the Arta nsx in gt7. Nostalgic. After the Tom's Supra and the Nissan Pennzoil this should be very cool.

Still, I would suggest another name for this mod-how about GT3 Millennium? This is a recall to the root, GT 2000 demo.

I wished kaz have never made the prologues and demo GT games instead of making the full GT3 car roster like this. And. Seen GT4 with better graphics and more cars into the game than what we had in GT4. I wish he could’ve taking time making the game we would’ve have more tracks also in the game.
Over 20 years I see the Abt tt in gran turismo 3. I wish I can race this beauty against the other gt3 dtm cars. That was my childhood dream 😅 please fix the audi tt 1.8t, the gt4 one looks much better than the one in gt3. Best regards ❤️

It always was so in GT, and it made no sense really to add another dealer just for this car. Prefer it in the BMW so that the 328Ci isn't so alone!
