MOST IMPACTFUL HIPHOP ALBUMS OF THE 2010s

In this video, Music Over Matter is discussing the most impactful and most influential hiphop and rap albums, for every year in the 2010s decade. The importance of the 2010s for hiphop and rap music as a whole cannot be understated. Rap became the most listened to genre of music in the world, and continues to grow to this day, with many of the biggest artists in the world establishing themselves during this time like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Future, The Weeknd, and more. With that said, for each year, we picked one album each that we considered the most important, whether that be due to impact, influence, popularity, or any other reason. For example, "Rodeo" by Travis Scott for 2015 as it created a new trap sound and launched Travis' mainstream career as an artist. Another example is, "good kid, m.A.A.d city" by Kendrick Lamar for 2012, as it proved that great storytelling can still create a very popular album, and due to the Grammy's issues, changed the way hiphop and rap listeners view award shows.
