    Love this style, she has hair type similar to my 12 year old daughter, so this definitely gave me a huge tip and idea for her hair as well. Dryness is definitely a huge issue with her hair as well, but I spray with oils, didn’t know I should use water instead! Thanks so much and please keep doing more videos like this for us moms with daughters with this type of hair!

    • @GetGlamFam
      @GetGlamFam  5 лет назад +2

      Moisture is always water based, think of oil as a supporter, or a sealant. Any true moisturizer will ALWAYS have water as it's first ingredient.

    Yes!! Always mist the hair with water while styling... it makes it 1000% percent easier to detangle and style. Also, “It’s a 10” leave in conditioner is the TRUTH!! It saved me so much time and headaches. Try it, you will not regret it!!

    Super beautiful! I love it.
    ETA: I second that comment asking for videos on all type four hair. I'd also ask that 3C be tossed in. I know I have 4A hair mostly which is a whole nother beast from 4C hair. Though what I have noted is density and properties of the hair calls for different methods of care.
    One of my friends with natural hair, honestly has hair that feels like cotton. My hair will never be that soft even after a steaming and the moisture sealed in well. That's one of the things I desperately want discussed, how two people can have the same curl pattern but have completely different needs for healthy hair.

      You have to be careful about heavy creams and oils on the scalps, some scalps can handle it, and for others with large flakes that have to be peeled up, oil on the scalp can be an absolute no. Excellent question and thanks for watching!

      Are these large flakes? Are they automatically off the scalp, or do they have to be peeled up?

    • @tracyumoffa5387
      @tracyumoffa5387 5 лет назад

      Not really large flakes, most automatically falls off when i scratch my hair(i call them snow) but few needs extra help like using comb.... Occurs most in the front parameter of my hair then little at d middle.... The back is always clean

    How do you keep 4c hair moisturized while its styled? Water alone only lasts so long.

  • @jaebeablessings1005
    @jaebeablessings1005 5 лет назад

    You're cute and informative. Your client is my hair twin. I understand moisture=water. I had a stylish twisting my hair similar to what you are doing but she did not use any oil, cream, grease. Do you ever opt out on these products? My hair 4c is going to coil with water but once dry its brittle.

    Great job! My daughter has 4c hair a super tight curl pattern and she is always experiencing breakage at the crown of her head. What is your suggestion for styling? She wears mostly twist outs.

    • @GetGlamFam
      @GetGlamFam  5 лет назад

      She needs to keep it moisturized, if she sweats in her head, she should incorporate cowashing between shampoos. Does she tend to frequently scratch that area?

    Look I have 4cxxx. I can good curl with gel. The setbacks are it takes to Jesus homes home to dry. And than you can't touch it are you start to have the white ghost flakes. What can I use to get the curls that will last more than a day?

    • @GetGlamFam
      @GetGlamFam  5 лет назад

      My favorite mixture is usually foaming wrap mixed with setting lotion. It takes less time to dry, gives definition and shine, and most importantly, it doesn't flake :)

    Love your salon, it looks like you're apart of the Sola Salon (excuse the spelling) I use to have one 10yrs or so ago. Are you still teaching? Hope you will start your own line of products soon. I'm looking for good quality products for my hair at a good price.

      I travel and teach cosmetology instructors now, which is amazing! I'm no longer in the classroom though, and honestly I do miss it. Product development is a massive job, I'm not sure I'm ready for that on a large scale yet.

      @@GetGlamFam Sorry that it took me so long to respond. I couldn't find this tutorial.
      I used to freelance from my home and fashion shows. I do miss doing hair, because of health issues I'm out of the count💣💥
      Suggestion... try a smaller scale of your own products selling them in shop then slowly branch out to online or you can sell your formula to an already established company who may want to back you or buy your ideas that way you won't have to worry about how massive doing this type of project by yourself. You know what's best for you guys

    Do you sell that mixture you used for the flakes ?

    • @GetGlamFam
      @GetGlamFam  5 лет назад +1

      I don't, its a mixture of tea tree shampoo, moisturizing shampoo, antiseptic, and botanical oil. It helps calm the scalp, but it only works on certain types of flakes. That being said, it requires assessment to ensure they aren't flakes due to dry scalp or psoriasis.

    I have 4C hair and I cannot keep it moisturized. I use the Giovanni shampoo and conditioner the avocado type. I noticed when you was twisting I didn't see you add any additional product to the hair is it necessary to do that did you add anything to her hair?

    • @GetGlamFam
      @GetGlamFam  5 лет назад +1

      Depending on the weather and the hair porosity, I will sometimes use a mixture of wrapping foam and setting lotion, that’s about it. 😊👍🏽
