Great but I don't like how at the ending there's a voice in the background. It messes me up on timing when I'm trying to sing it. I'm doing this for my choir concert. The theme of the concert is broadway shows. I'm just nervous it's not going to sound right if there's the faint voice in the background messing me up. Other than that it's great.
My school is doing this Musical this year and our auditions are on Friday. Since I’m a girl, I can’t really play the part of Andrew Jackson but the teacher said I could try out with this song so she could help cast me because I have a low voice. Plus, I chose Ten Little Indians at first since I know the words and melody but I regret not choosing The Great Compromise since she’s mostly looking for how well we act. So wish me luck.
good luck!!! As fun as Ten Little Indians is, this song will give you a bit more variety and I think it does lend itself to showing off your acting-you gotta be angsty and mad at the world but then insecure and desolate then finally indignant and resolute in kicking arse (before getting a bit funny and insecure again)! 1:30 ("And guess what I'm telling you") is a real chest-beater moment that contrasts with the first "woe is me" version that you can really take advantage of to show the character progression through this one song. :]
Thank you so much! Needed this for an audition!
Thanks alot for this! I'm doing a theatre summer academy and this years it's musical theatre and I chose this as one of my songs.
awesome choice, happy to help!
Love it!!!
THANK YOU. Can you do any of the other songs? :D I love this!
