Gold Heat Reflective Tape test (cheap eBay tape)

- Results of the test:
- metal pan without any wrap: 99.4C
- metal pan with 1 layer of gold reflective tape: 96.9C
- metal pan with 2 layers of gold reflective tape: 92.6C
- metal pan with 3 layers of gold reflective tape: 91.5C
For the fun, I tested 3 layers of 3M Duct Tape: 92C :)
The conclusion: I will not use this heat reflective tape because it has a fairly low efficiency (only 8% lower temps).
I will repeat the test in the future with a premium quality product.

This is testing convection resistance, not radiation. The tape helps with radiation heat transfer.

Finally an accurate test using RADIANT heat not some blowtorch crap which its not designed for.
Excellent video due to accuracy and actual time spent heating up the entire plate.
This isnt radiant, its convection so this test is also wrong.

@@jmovision270 I tested DEI tape and litteraly is no difference. I was so demotivated that I didn't upload the video :( The differences are in finish quality and maybe in
adhesive.
