I remember them flying overhead when I was young. The one painted up like a German fighter, and was torn down, used to fly in a group and solo when I was a kid in Granada Hills.
Pilots had balls of steel in those days. Used to love going to VN airport at that restaurant and watching them take off an land. Sad kids laugh at flatheads those are true hot rods. 200hp in one of those buckets was hauling azz they weight next to nothing. Ill probably never get to own as I dont fit in much of anything being talll but love seeing them .
Man the sweet pop-pop sounds of old fours and flathead v8s along with radials all in one vid! Modern v8s are music, but the old engines have their place in my heart.
I rarely get a chance to go to events like that but they are really nice. It's doesn't have to be an all day event to have fun. I need to assemble my 37 oldsmobile and get out there. Your dad is a pretty cool guy. Got to talk to him when I bought the hot wheels from him. Hope you guys had a great Father's Day weekend. Awesome video.
Just love watching those hot rods in motion. That's the way they are meant to be viewed! Long time subscriber to your channel because of these types of videos.
Why are all of Simon's cars so pristine. Absolutely in love with his roadster. Fellow Brit's eye for design is just perfect! Amazing video as always Ben. You deserve way more views, production quality has always been the finest. Excited for more.
Was that the Infected 59 ambulance? I saw that one day in SFV while I was making a delivery in a neighborhood. Totally awesome to see it move down the road 👍
That's the way to see hot rods......on the move they take on a whole life of their own The noise the smells awsome stuff nicely made clip aswell easy to watch well done
USed to go to the airshows with my dad when I was a kid. As time goes by Im appreciating those old planes. Pilots were nuts back then. Grew up in old porter ranch
Great video! I was lucky enough to be at Bob’s Big Boy on a Friday night a few years ago when I was in SoCal. Some amazing cars were there including an original unrestored 427 Cobra! It was amazing!
Your work always looks so good. I know that don't help the wallet much.....but great work! It will serve you well someday. I see June Gloom is hanging on......I grew up in So Cal, Whittier, and recall it well!!!! Thanks
Jeeeesus! That greenish/blueish blown 32 (seriously, what color is it, I'm a bit colorblind! 😅) is absolutely gorgeous! That black one with the nr 9 painted on the door needs channeling though, I don't care how "authentic" it looks, ugly is ugly! 😅
Well Ben did Pops show you how to red line it and sidestep the clutch i sure miss Bob's on Friday night its been a few years your car sounds better i can tell the difference listening on my phone have you checked your fuel mileage? Keep posting the cool content 👍😎👍
@@FourSpeedFilms Nice You need to get in with Hotchkis for your suspension and Vintage air especially living in that Valley take care keep him coming sure appreciate it 👍😎👍
Next time you take a cruise when you run into a cruiser run across that blue Corvette own by John Randazzo get do a little interview with him he's a legend in the street racing back in the seventies and eighties
Maybe it wasn't for more than a minute or two, but man... 2:12 that's not cool. I LOVE hot rods/old cars. But if I was one of the folks in my daily going somewhere and that wagon did that to me... Wow, just not cool. Definitely gives us old car guys a really bad rap.
The Deuce with the supercharged Olds in it says YES to me. Any time I see a cool rod without a generic bellybutton orange lump sbc in it, I get a bit happy in my pants.
Man those old WWll Planes are a thing of beauty. Love hearing the sound of the old piston engines in those aircrafts. The cars were super nice too :)
Yes, so cool!

the Vought F4U is my favorite, it just has the most beautiful wing shape.

Love these old school, period correct hot rods. They are my favorite type of classic cars. Glad to see Southern California going back to its roots.

The Helicopter pad at the north end of the field at Van Nuys is where they made the T.V. show Air Wolf in the 80's.

Most dad's: slow down you don't want to get a ticket! Your dad: If I shift at 6000 RPM I bet I could get 3rd gear rubber... : O )
Haha! He drives my car sometimes like a hot rod
You should get a hotrod. 👍
That would be cool!
