Very special birds. In fact all parrots are including budgies. All of them need and deserve lots of attention, the more you give them the more they give back. We have had several budgies over the years and I have learned that they can be more needy than a dog! Once a bird decides you are the leader of the flock look out! You will have a buddy for life that won’t give you any peace!

I have a white IRN as well! She also gets randomly angry at toys, and likes being on my shoulder when we do kitchen chores. My vet said that "bluffing" isn't really a stage they go through like most people think, but just how they act when they get hormonal. Mine is coming up on 4 years old and never went through a "stage" like this, however sometimes she'll find an area that she wants to be her nest, and then she gets incredibly bity when people get close. We usually have to remove the "nest", then wait a few days for her to chill out again.
