Foam Crafting A Conquistador Helmet

- Looking back in history at some pretty iconic armor, I stumbled upon the Morion helmet, or conquistador helmet as it's commonly known. I thought I would give it a go and try to put my own spin on it using the following materials: 6 mm and 10 mm EVA, cake detail molds, Evil Ted Cosmolds, hot glue, an old leather belt, contact cement, super glue, Plasti Dip, and some Rub-n-Buff paints. You may also need the following tools: a heat gun, a Dremel with various bits, and an Exacto knife or box cutter. Thanks so much for the templates. I just wanted to make a quick and dirty version out of cardboard but couldn’t find a free pattern anywhere. And I didn’t wanna pay for something I’m probably just gonna wear once as a gag 😂

@@MuchProps turned out pretty good, I also have a big head, so the size wasn’t much of an issue. Though I wish it was a little deeper. It probably would have been better had I used foam instead of cardboard. Overall though, it’s pretty good.

You went hog wild on those ornate details and it looks so good, I couldn’t guess how it was done by looking at the thumbnail!!
I added quite a bit 😆. All the casts I put on it probably tripled the weight of the helmet.
Dang, that’s looks sick. If you want an interesting history helmet idea, you should look at Anglo Saxon helmets(don’t remember the original name), they look pretty cool. And again that helmet looks awesome.

I think you kinda fumbled for the words, but, the straps are straps, the same concept as a bicycle helmet chin strap, it keeps it on your head

I don't have plans to make a full cosplay. I am still putting the finishing touches on my Knights Templar Iron Man build and gearing up for the next 2 already.
Dude sweet channel! I was wondering if you could do a Starwars Mudtrooper helmet, or even an AT-ST Pilot helmet (they are both the same). I am asking because I can't find any templates of this helmet anywhere and I am so eager to make one!

LOL. not planning on it, sometimes I do a little photo editing to make the picture look better. It would look a lot less authentic with my Dunder Mifflin shirt on 😆
