Can we please have supplementary statistics about other 2-letter combinations which combine well with G? I sense there are several suffixes for advanced players to consider.
IN really does stand head and shoulders above anything else in longer words. The +30% and +23% appearance rates for N and I, respectively, alongside the G are absolutely enormous increases, especially given that both letters already appear extremely frequently in long words. Some example word counts for 7s and 8s with the G and other high-probability two-tile combinations, (duplicating some for better flow): G + IN = 8027 (ING in order - 6580) G + IS = 4755 (note how far IN is above IS) G + IR = 3721 G + IL = 3429 G + IT = 2834 G + ID = 1889 G + IN = 8027 (ING in order - 6580) G + AN = 4250 (again, note the gap) G + EN = 4212 G + ON = 3049 G + UN = 2153 G + EN = 4212 G + ES = 4071 (ES far closer to EN than IS to IN) G + ER = 3913 G + EL = 2762 G + ET = 2248 G + ED = 2099 G + EI = 4476 G + AI = 3972 G + AE = 3771 (AGE in order - 792) G + AN = 4250 G + AS = 3442 G + AR = 3090 G + AL = 2472 G + AT = 2014 G + AD = 1430 G + RN = 3387 G + RS = 2751 G + RT = 1442 G + RL = 1441 Takeaways - even semi-recognizable suffixes like AGE pale in comparison to ING; anything with an N in it gets a big boost.
@@wanderer15 Wow, simply amazing... even combined GED, GEN, GER, GES (not in any particular order) aren't that common. It's always satisfying playing sonorous 3-syllable cretics with the G, but -ING as a suffix truly dominates.
@@skippitysmithsonshorts so you didn't understand the q video? he rated it 1 star not because of the score but because of it's bad synergy with the other tiles and its unplayability overall.
No list of G vowel dumps feels complete without HOAGIE. Possibly the most useful 6 in the game. EDIT: I'm just speaking from limited experience, where in several games I've quackled, HOAGIE was by far the best option. It's likely coincidence, but I haven't seen that pattern come up with other 6's yet.
For sure, lots of useful G vowel dump sixes like HOAGIE out there, and I would expect HOAGIE to be the best play a ton of the time when you have those letters. Just trying to be careful of overloading viewers with too many new words...
G is probably my least favorite letter, because it's almost useless without IN or H(T). Also, holding onto ING or GH(T) usually ends in one-tile fishing that doesn't always hit (as most ING and GHT words don't need an E), or play, as in the VAV opening example.
why is the lovely different G size graphic and the list of G vowel dumps on the screen for such a short time! Pacing, my good man! Timing! Pacings and timings!
i am surprised the -age ending is not mentioned! there are several and they are interesting to learn at least. cowhages might be best
What if we make the swap the roles of G and C? (2xG, 3-point G, 3xC, 2-point C)
Love the images in this video 😂 thanks for making this is such a fun and useful series. Happy new year!
same to you!

Will there ever be a tile that gets 1 star??
yes, there will be - and I'm thinking of doing that one sometime soon...

He rated q 1 star but it gives 10 points, he $h!tted on q.

G is one of those letters that needs two other letters to be common

Fun fact: in the C in coastal is a blank, every letter is worth 0-1 points.
With exexperience: this is worth 6 points...
do you know the anagram of COASTAL?

Thnx for info
It would be really nice if you could add data for common words.
So who’s right, Josh or Cesar?
I gotta say I'm on team Josh as a bit of a G hater...Cesar, I hope we can still be friends!
i keep thinking i need to watch this since it is one of my least favorite letters
