Damn, didn't know Charlie had passed...had the privilege of seeing him live back in Elmira N.Y. in '96...talk about natural talent and knowing how to get down on a Strat...R.I.P brother...
Met him at Django in June. He liked Django music and Gonzalo Bergera was there and you could see how much mutual respect there was. Great to see this footage. RIP
His take on Freddie King really reminds me SRV. I am so happy I got to see these guys right around this time at Fitzgeralds in Oak Park. They were a great live act and Charlie is one of the truly overlooked guitar players.
RIP Mr, Baty. Guitar magician with a sweet soul.
My favorite era of LC&NC...

Vintage Little Charlie....so good, thanks for sharing!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you so much for providing this--I'd never seen dynamite young Charlie. His closing solo is now saved forever.
Great video! My favorite guitar player of all time! He passed away the day before my birthday. I met him a few times at Moondogs. Great guy!
