Yo this is sick! May I ask what you used for that bell track? Plugin? VST?

Thank you! If I remember correctly that was Omnisphere. I think I found a pluck preset I liked, tweaked it a bit and processed with tremolo, chorus and reverb

Yoo this is so interesting for anybody digging sound design and production I feel like I have 1000 questions but to ask one, is there a reason why you dont use MIDI but actual audio for the instruments? I assume thats all done by VSTs like Kontakt or something.
Oh and btw those impacts sound SICK! Any chance on you telling us where theyre from and how to get them?

Thank you very much! Yeah, I always use MIDI when writing and programming, but then I render it all down to audio before mixing to free processing power. Also committing to sounds and parts helps in avoiding doubts later on. I thought about doing these walkthroughs with the production sessions with MIDI files, but the songs weren't mixed in those previous sessions soo yeah.
Most of those impacts come from Splice or free packs I found during the years on lots of different websites. When I download them I just drop them into my Impacts folder and kinda forget where they come from tbh. Definitely start by
browsing Splice and googleing "free impacts", you'll find a ton of good ones

Yoooo what program do you use for orchestra parts to write them

    • @FedericoAscariAudio

I write within Cubase and use all the string Kontakt Libraries contained in Native Instrument's Komplete suite mainly
