I’ve always thought of urban bouldering as as a novelty...something goofy, but certainly not real rock climbing, until I watched this. Shit is gnarly, man made or not. Props.
I’m from Calgary and I have over 15 spots around the city that I think are climbable and I’m trying the first one on trad right now. I’m so hyped that urban climbing is actully a thing and I’m not just being obsessive lol. Absolutely amazing film. Hope for a second one eventually.
I've followed and been inspired by the exploits of Quebec builderers over the last few years and it's great to see a comprehensive movie covering classic urban climbs and grimpeurs pulling off the cool moves.
I'm in the process of making my own urban climbing Montreal video and just found your video! Have you documented the lines that you have setup? I'd love to try some of them. I could even add some routes that I've been collecting :)
Bien joué, j'ai hâte de voir le reste! Pas moyen d'avoir des côtes approximatives de tous les problèmes hen? Question que je ne me fasses pas trop d'idées.
would be nice if bouldering could take a few jumping techniques from parkour. Especially when falling from a high place, parkour has some great insight on how to land without hurting yourself. On one, always prepare for the fall, once she realised she is starting to fall, it's better to let go early and focus on landing than trying to still hold on. Also, land on your tip toes, NEVER on your heels, this allows the least impact. For higher falls, learn the safety roll, try jumping a greater distance and once you impact, use the impact to throw yourself forwards into a roll. This is a technique that has been used since the start of parkour and a great way to decrease fall impact ;)
Amazing video super inspiring! When I used to live in New Orleans there was no outdoor climbing so we would go buildering. Mostly Tulane U. I retired after we were climbing a wall of a church and cops came with guns out because they thought we were breaking in😅 Your security seemed much more friendly😂
@@JackalopeFest oh that’s awesome was it Eli?! Great gym and crew. They sadly opened after I moved but I have climbed there when visiting I did not know they were expanding!
This is probably the best bouldering movie I’ve seen in a long time.
So inspiring and giving me motivation to train hard again
Stoked you liked it, keep pushing! Allez!!!
Check mine out 😀
This should be on Reel Rock 15
Indeed !
Vraiment...

Nice! We call it buildering...
That VVH prow is finally given it's due as a hard-as-F compression route. I was surprised how casually it was treated in other videos.

Thanks for the love, show us some spots. We are working on 2 other climbing videos coming out early 2021 on other topics fyi.
Any interest in sharing your spots? I’ve been actively looking for spots around Calgary.

Great video! :D should have a link to the old video
You can type ''DIST-URBAN BEHAVIOR'' into google and it's going to be the video avaiable on DailyMotion from 10 years ago. Enjoy 🔥
