ether92 You're not wrong. My fave movie of all time is Aliens, when you watch documentaries about the making of that movie you find out the cast were all sent on marine boot camp training and by the time they shot the movie they were a close knit team.
I pray that King Fury 2 isn’t ruined by the big budget, if it’s as fun and weird as the short it should be great. Plus, you’ve got a ton of famous actors from the 80’s making an appearance so this is just gonna be a nostalgia trip for the ages.
sometimes a low budget is a good thing, the Italien western movies had very simple music because they could not afford an orchestra. That way the music was not as bombastic as in the high-budget hollywood-productions, but the Emotion was much better.
It's amazing David did all those Martial Arts stunts himself. You need a tremendous amount of training to pull that off, more than most Hollywood actors receive.
Not gonna lie, Kung Fury has been and continues to be the catalyst to a big chunk of my bandcamp collection. No joke, you guys absolutely nailed the 80's aesthetic, and then went above and beyond with an otherworldly story, amazing cinematography, and the Hoff. They understandably they couldn't put all of it into a behind the scenes like this, but there's so, so much more stuff that we all could hear. I think the big, big reason they chose to do Kung Fury 2 THEIR way and not the Hollywood way is because all the memories and experiences they had during the making of KF1 is... Invaluable. Probably around 15 times? It's only half an hour.. so if you watch it 3 -4 times you get around the time a movie usually takes. ^^ I loved the 80's and I still do, this movie has everything in it.

I was thinking the same about the Hoff, best song he ever did!
I hope, and expect, you're talking about Gunship.
There were some flaws but completely negligible.
There was more passionate effort put into this than half of Hollywood combined.
