I have the exact vehicle that I need to replace an engine for. I plan to use a 2012 engine. two questions, any issues with the different year? Also, is it possible to lift the engine out? Or is pulling it from underneath the only way?
I have only taken them out the bottom, you can take them out the top, but I think you would have to remove the whole front end of the vehicle, not sure on the different year I would just call any of your local parts yards and ask them what years will fit in your vehicle And if there is any differences, they should know. Not exactly sure I do not work in the office side, I could look up how many hours it takes and you could times that by however much the shop you take it to charges per hour, and that would give you how much labor would cost you. I could look that up for you Monday.
I never ever buying the cx9 again nothing but rubbish i have problem with auto transmission not cheap to fix nothing but lemon 🍋 I never recommend to much problems

I have to change my A.T. Converter oil seal but I gonna try to take out the A. T. Only, is t possible?
It can be done if you hang the engine from up top with the engine hanger
