    Thank you for everything. I just got a 87 and really thinking about going through the entire thing. I appreciate all the videos. Thanks again

      Dan Kissinger, no problem. I know it's been awhile since I posted. But I got back into crane rental, which by its nature is either fest or famine. And it's been and still is a glorious fest.

    Can you tell me the universal joint part number as I can’t understand if it’s 2720073810 or 2720085C00

    I did change all the joints, but the one on the very front IDK how it goes and don't know how to put it back again

      Oswald Ramirez what exactly do you mean?

    • @ELKMotorsports
      @ELKMotorsports  4 года назад

      Oswald Ramirez, if your talking which side the slip yoke goes, put it on the side of the transfer case. This way less dirt and debris can get in and past the supplies, and water won't get trapped in the capped end. And if your talking about clocking the u-joint ears, the ears on the splined section should be inline with the ears on the other end of the driveshaft. Not the ears on the other flange but the driveshaft itself.

    Hello for front axles should i go Longfields or RCV ? 6,5:1 ARB ,32 inchers

    • @ELKMotorsports
      @ELKMotorsports  6 лет назад

      ka4172 , they are supposed to be the same spec. I know the RCV axles have a warranty, but it's voided if you go above 35" tires.

    What kind of joints? I've heard only the OE joints are worth your time...

    • @ELKMotorsports
      @ELKMotorsports  6 лет назад +1

      These are from O Rielly's. It really all depends on how you ride, working angle. But yes the OEM joints are of good quality.
