Making sure those yokes are in phase is so key! You lucked out when you placed it, for sure. Mine have been out of phase by about 2 degrees till this past weekend when I separated the shafts and played with the spline alignment and got it within a degree. More than that and you actually feel them bind up prematurely! Nice job and I hope it pays off for you!
Yes it is very important. I measured a bunch and put scribe lines in, then eye balled it before i tapped it on. I didnt expect to be within .3 of a degree, but ill take it..lol It still vibrates, but not nearly as bad as before. May have to build a double cardan some time, but for now, it will work.
