Sir, I do not believe you Wingit.....you nailit. Have lots of smiles here. Special song for me as I have only seen Whim Creek open once but fell in love with the history coupled with the pristine coastal country down the road.

Hey Allan, I don't like to name spots on the channel to respect other fishos that frequent the area but if you send me a message when you get to town be happy to catch up and point in the right direction mate.

I love it there mate, can get busy at times but can always find a quiet spot to soak a line. Someone told me at the time it may have been old stock kept in the heat, not sure but it was like cotton.

The Pilbara, where the men are men and the sheep are bloody nervous!.Love the Pilbara scenery still, worked in Hedland in the mid 70,s. Sad about the Whim Creek Pub, remember riding from Hedland on my Triumph with mates for the Sunday Sessions At the Whim Creek Pub. How we got back sometimes, had no idea. Every Sunday we were there almost

It's a great little spot mate and had a few Sunday beers there myself when it was open. Just a carpark for overnight caravans currently. Some things have changed up there but the scenery never will.
