    Great little spot, i stayed further up near townsleys landing. Didn't have an issue with seaweed myself, but the bees were next level - a whole swarm of them during the day all over us. Will defo be heading back up though

      Yeh nice, yeh the bee's were pretty thursty this summer with no rain, we had the same thing happen at 1 of our last camp spots, gave 1 bee a drink then he brought all his buddies back 😅

    Mate, there is nothing wrong with a freshly caught mullet from the ocean. Instead of relying on someone else's opinion in a book, for sure you should try one yourself, especially if you have a few culinary ideas about cooking fish. If you're generally a seafood lover, fresh mullet, even if just filleted and pan fries in a little oil, butter and a little seasoning will blow the maggot bag pie option you went for out of the water.

      Haha I have heard they arent to bad on the chew, but Mrs Mac's were already in the oven at that stage, if I catch 1 again I will cook him up and check it out 🤙

    Winter is the best time for camping, summer is too hot.

      Haha we love our warmer climates for camping, but it is nice to have a campfire when it is a bit cooler

    Mate are the tracks wide enough to get a full width van in?

    • @blissniques
      @blissniques  2 месяца назад

      Nahh mate offroad camper trailers would get in there, some soft sand areas that would be pretty challenging to get a full size van in

    Great spot there. If anyone is unsure of this location, its off Indian Ocean Drive by the Greys island shacks turn-off...instead of turning right into Greys, take the left track off the bitumen into Wanagarren...FYI- the track getting in isn't the greatest, so if you're thinking about taking any sort of caravan or camper trailer in then I'd seriously reconsider that ides...we were coming back from Exmouth last year and thought we'd have a look at this place as a future potential spot as its close to home, we had our camper trailer which is only 1600kg fully loaded en tow, tyres on 4wd were already let down to 18psi going in...wasnt the worst ive experienced offroad heading in (steeper down hills)...really struggled to get out coming back up them. Had to drop car tyres to 14 psi and camper tyres which were still at full pressure to 16psi and managed to just crawl out

    • @blissniques
      @blissniques  Год назад +1

      Yeh on Parks website they do mention not to take trailers in there, really only for tents and rooftop tents, I probably should of mentioned that ha.. so cheers for mentioning it 🤙

      Do you have to book wannagarren. I have been to the shanties town Grey. I seen the gate to wannagarren on the left of the road. But looked like it was PRIVATE. my question is. can you just arrive and enter through the gate. If not, whom do I contact. Thanks in advance

    How do you deal with the condensation in the tent ?

    • @blissniques
      @blissniques  Год назад +1

      We didnt have any on this trip, but in the past, usually open each window a tad so airflow goes through, rv tents have a cpl of windows with mesh each end, very handy
