A bunch of us including Doc from the Last Best Tool channel have been hounding Knipex to make smaller Twin Grips for a few years now. Can't believe they actually listened! So cool.
They did listen! I think a lot of tool companies typically test a new product in a single size first to work out any issues and test product demand before expanding. Thanks for posting! 👍
A small version of Raptors and the extra slim cobra also…I think both only comes in 250mm…not sure if worth making it though or any usable…but pretty sure any sizes they’ll do people will still buy them even just to add to collection😅 Been asking Knipex to add the screw removal function on Cobras even if twin grips exist already…Engineer Japan make it standard on their pliers😅
I actually like the 10” 250’s way more than I thought I would. My primary use case is running in and out of rental properties for quick repairs… I have kept a very similar pair of channel locks that you showed in the video in my driver side door as kind of a first wave tool to fix something quickly and I think those 250’s actually do it better. They don’t feel overwhelming in my hand and are big enough to grab onto most anything I run into… seen a lot of folks talking about the 6” for EDC, but I’m really glad they have the 10” in the lineup. More to come as always! Thanks for the great video.
👍Thanks for the TG demo. I knew of the advantage it has for backing off a screw with a broken head. BUT the spring clip demo sold me on getting a pair👍 Likely the 8"
Good presentation. I have been enjoying my twin grips for quite a while but hadn't really known why they work so well. I'll probably end up with all three sizes. Great video.
Just as I suspected I have ordered and received a three piece set with the 6, 8 and 10 inch sizes. I'll be able to keep my original 8 inch comfot grips in an alternative location. Thanks again for the great videos @projectpinehills.
Great video, I just ordered this 150mm version, I use the 200 mm versions for more than 2 years and they are my favorite pliers. Now I'm waiting for the xs version, I already have the cobra and pliers wrench in that small size.
@projectpinehills Yeah, I have the 6.25” Vampliers in my EDC pouch, but having screw removal pliers and slip-joint pliers together in one tool is even better for an EDC pouch where space is limited.
I was thinking they land right between the 55 and 56. Compact with slim nose like the 55 but slip joint like the 56. The 55 and 56 are probably my two favorite engineer screw extracting pliers so for sure I ordered the 150 twin grip.
If the Twin Grip Tool roll is any indicator they’re planning on making even smaller ones in the future just like the Pliers wrench tool Roll had that Extra small slot which is where the XS pliers wrench fit perfectly
I can see the use for the small ones and maybe down the road at a good price ill pick them up. I agree the 200 are well rounded and I think are better multi job pliers than the engineers. Engineer has a slim not needle nose version smaller than thoes linemans but have a non locking handles require a cap and no additional size adjustments. I'd day stay 200mm and often go on sale for cheap too my last pair were 22 dollars kc tool and az.
I got mine off Amazon for $27, which is a steal compared to the pricing of most other sellers. I have to wait until the 1st week in November to get them, but I've gone this long without them, so whats a couple more weeks, right?

@richmondstar4354 it would interesting to see the screw removal added to the Cobras.
Nice work! Please can you hound them to make a version of the 150’s with the Comfort grips?

Yeah I keep the 440’s in the truck. That’s good feedback, never know until you try them out.
👍Thanks for the TG demo.

If getting one, 8" 200mm is the way to go. Thanks for posting! 👍

Thank you. I’ve had the 200mm 8” for years but never talked about them in the channel. Thanks for posting. 👍

@garydudgeon Thanks and thanks for posting!
i used the small side opening for cotter pins. these feel like they are made for heavy equipment techs. i have the og's for over a year and love them
That’s a good example of what they can be used for. Thanks for posting. 👍

Cobras and Pliers Wrench very handy in that size. Thanks for posting! 👍
I've been wishing for the smaller Twin-Grips. Looking forward to the 150mm version.
Now is the time. Pick them up. Thanks for posting. 👍
I’m definitely picking up a pair of the 150mm to replace my Engineer PZ-58’s/6.25” Vampliers. 👍
That’s a good example of what these 150mm’s could replace. Thanks for posting! 👍

looks like a great tool, I assume, it will be handier than the 200mm version that I already own. Btw, the joint is called box joint
Thanks, yes a box joint. Thanks for posting! 👍

Is that right? I have not seen that. That may be the case. Thanks for posting! 👍

That is a nice price for the 200mm! It’s tough to beat that size. Good points on those small Engineers. 👍
I’m working on building a small kit patterned after your tool punch 3.0 would you put these in instead of the snap on needle nose?
I think it’s up to you. They are both slip joint pliers and both would have their benefits.
I hope the 'Clip & Carry Co' or some kydex company will made a kydex sheath to carry it on the belt just like the cobra which is available now.
I’ve seen those for the Cobras. Are there any available for the 8” TwinGrips?
@@projectpinehills I think no , just the 5' & 6' available
I gotta get a couple pair of these.
8” is a good way to go. Thanks for posting! 👍
I have the 6 and the 8 versions and i use the 150 for Lego Technic lol.
lol, thanks for posting!

Ha, right. That’s a good price.
Can’t wait for a 125
Just a matter of time. Thanks for posting! 👍
Would the comfort grip matter?
If you’re interested in comfort grip, I’d prefer it on the 200mm and 250mm pair. Thanks for posting!
@@projectpinehills I have the 200mm I want the 150 lol
