Calling it now: There will be a premium AMX in the next major update. Both will get a BR increase a few months later. The purpose of the current AMX is to establish it's reputation as an OP platform, hence boosting sales later on.
It’s purpose was to give Italy a 10.0-10.7 strike aircraft
The AMX fills that role but Gaijan manages to drop the ball on balancing
We always needed more all aspect missiles at 10.3

I would love to play the sabres and all the planes in that bracket. Issue is that the 9.0's is just uptier hell where if I'm lucky the enemies assume I'm a bot for a moment and don't decide to immediately delete me from the sky.
@@just_a_username8979 sabres are the onlything I play there and thats at 8.3 to 8.7 just barely under the bracket but they neeeed Aim-9B's like irl some carried them but we dont get them cause its "unfair"
The "10.3 all aspect slinger" factor of this game is what made me stop using jets from rank V to rank VII in general on Air RB. I only play with them in assault mode once a day because is the time I have to play something and chat with friends without going to bed frustated because some A10/SU25/AMX killed my F100D with no flares with a all aspect missile. Now I play Air RB only with top tier jets sometimes because even top tier has a ton of bs.
That why french F-100D is the best. It have zuni "countermeasures", that are very effective against these idiots and their missiles.
Rodrigo. I feel aircraft with all aspects should get separated from other aircraft, somewhat. Basically prevent anything with all aspects to play against or even with stuff without the same capabilities and/or flairs
Well I feel we need to spread out the br more then just move it. 10.3-11.00 is the fine line between flareless missile slinging, or 9M Mach missile mayham. They either get a br where they slam, or a br were they get slammed
Definitely agree, moving it up would make it useless, but when 9.3 jets are full uptiered it is really difficult to approach half the enemy team.

Honestly, I don't fly anything without flares anymore at the 8.7/10.3 bracket. Whats the point? Honorable mention to the Super Etendard tho, awesome attacker at 10.0 and with the sales going on its a farming fest

The problem is that those planes will not survive the 11.3 BR in Air RB (and ground RB for that mater)... and you cant grind out they're module in just ground RB.... they need seperate br for ground and air or other method to grind they're modules - something like the PVE helicopter battles.
They aren't much worse off than the Harrier GR7 in air to air and I got mine spaded at 11.7 fighting Tomcats, F-16, and Mig 29s.

the SPS-K is still not complete anyway after years, it should be able to mount flare pods on the ROTAS takeoff booster mounts.
I hope they don't change the amx's BR because this is like the only fun jet that Italy has.

What they need to do is increase the br to 15.0 then stretch out jets. I think with an increase like that they could really balance vehicles based on kit and performance

I have the Event Buccaneer S.1 and I feel like the seal waiting for the club. There should be away of making a tier system that keeps the non counter measured air craft apart from the all aspects.

the AMX being 10.3 is mainly for its GRB lineup. if they uptier it it will screw Italy again

@@RNGesus777 yeah but atm other nations get to have similar vehicles at the same BR. So either its rules for everyone or no one. The AMX is a mix between the A6 performance and the A10 having… well a gun. You dont get the powerful ordnance of an A6 nor the better gun of the A10. Both of those aircraft also have 4 9Ls… well unless you count the A-10 early for “balance” reasons. Jaguar also gets AS-30Ls which are more suited for smack SAMs imo. Each aircraft has their own strengths and weaknesses.
I just find it dumb that it took the AMX being added for anyone to actually start considering doing something about it. Knowing how Gaijin is they would just fuck the AMX specifically because they’re shortsighted.

The problem is that there aren’t enough brs to accommodate planes like this, which have 0 chance against Aim-54s, r-73, aim-9m, let alone the planes at top tier, what the game needs is to spread out the brs, make sure and f-104 isn’t fighting an f-15. Decompression is an absolute must
Decompression at 9.x air and ground units was one of my suggestions for the 2024 roadmap. They see way too many uptiers into 10.0-10.3 because of premiums.

At the same BR we have the Super Etendard, they did not make it the modernized version while making it the modernized version, as they did not give it magic 2, but they gave it an ATLIS designation pod and laser guided bombs.
So France is not contributing to the problem, the all aspect missiles were denied

I mean the AMX at 10.7 doesn't realy have a lineup for GRB so it will be totally useless, i would rather lose the aim9l and get maybe something else it didn't had and keep it at 10.3

If we change the br of the amx we jave to change all the plane with all aspect, USA its already broken by hitself, it doesn't need all aspect, same thing with the su25k

Quick correction, the EEGS is an impact indicator, not Lead
This is false, the EEGS is a lead indicator for dogfights. It's slaved to the targeting pod, not the radar however.
@@theeasternspy266 it's lead in the sense the crosshair needs to be on your target, but like a CCIP, it marks where the round will impact, so it is an impact indicator. A lead indicator would be like the Arcade one, that is lead. And yes, it is slaved to the targeting pod
The AMX is the only CAS option Italy has at 10.3 Ground RB, and that's why I'd hate to see it go higher. Perhaps they could seperate ground and air BRs? Or simply reduce reduce max BR spread from +-1.0 to +-0.66.

How do you fix thos from a gameplay perspective 🤔 just give any that has a chance to face an all aspect missle flares. Low effort maximum effect not to mention problem solved.
How do you get the target pod to lock like that? I've set keybinds for target points, locking guided bombs and sight stabilisation... none of them lock the pod on

@@alexturnbackthearmy1907 What you're looking for is autotracker, either TV or IR one, listed in X-ray for the pilot. And russians don't get it until 11.3 strike jets and only in TV mode

No, the SU25 was actually 9.3 on release. But it was quickly changed to 9.7 within a week or so.
It was 9.3 for like less than 2 hours, mistake from dev. Immediately got moved up when they realized what happened.
I have all the jets for USA but I love my 105 and I hate how much it gets picked off bc it has the wrong counters
I feel that all the jets in the tech trees should get there own separate game mode and totally separate tree. Kind of like coastal and bluewater vessels. I don’t know how to implement it, but it would make sense in my opinion.
Coastal and blue water vessels do not have a separate game mode. The HMAS Arrow for instance in a full uptier will fight destroyers and all it has is a single Bofors and an M2HB .50 cal.

Thing is they need to change the BR system for jets, so that there is a separate BR for Air RB and ground RB. The AMX is a valid 10.3 in GROUND but should be higher in AIR
10.3 is needed for ground rb for the Amx because Italy doesn’t have a cas for 10.3 line up

Something I don't hear anybody discuss is how missiles have changed since they added in the aim 9L and R-60M. The all aspect missiles weren't that big of a deal when they were added because you could dodge them in any maneuverable jet, you didn't need flares. Now the aim 9G is near impossible to out maneuver unless you see the launch. It's become complete BS...

there's so much wrong when there's literally zero counterplay and nothing you can do besides just not come within 5km of certain aircraft
My guess in regards to the high speed maneuverability and the lack of low speed maneuverability is due to a couple of things. If you notice on the wings, there is ailerons, but they have a low surface area comparatively to other aircraft. On the top of the wings there is spoilers and those typically work better at higher airspeeds (like on a B-52). I believe that with your Stabilators they look to have a high surface area but maybe they have a airfoil profile that is catered to higher speeds (.8-.9 mach). I'm not completely sure as I'm not super familiar with the AMX. Or Gaijin got lazy and pushed out a wonky flight model :)
As a person who plays the Mig 15 who's grinding the Soviet air tech tree, this is pain.

Hi, Ex-Japanese AIR RB main here.
I used to fly Japanese planes up until I get the F104J. This was probably around the start of the All-Aspect Nightmare...
Japan in Tier 6, BR's 9.7-10.7 has nothing but flareless jets with rear-aspect IR missiles. Which all fly in BR's that are now basically filled to the brim with all-aspect missiles.
Sure, you can use rockets as an ersatz flare, but it's not nearly as effective
In the end, I caved, and bought the F5C which was on sale, and have gone on in the US Tree, flying F16's and all that... I haven't moved past the F1 Mitsubishi and the F104J... It's literally unflyable.
With the very few amount of italian players there is a low chance that you will encounter the AMX so I think that the AMX isn't something that needs a nerf, if they were to make a premium amx i think that one could be put at 10.7 or 11.0 like a few of the su25's
i think they should add preferential match making where for example some 9.3 cant meet 10.3

The SARH missiles that show up in 10.0-10.7 downtiers is a similar issue that has no counterplay.

Honestly the Su-25 isn’t even too bad as far as all aspect spam goes. I very rarely get killed by it as the R-60s are very easy to evade (easy to flare with even just a rocket pod, easy to drain the energy of the missile).
Everything with an AIM-9L though is a pain in the ass, early easy to flare SARH missiles at its BR don’t even shoot as far as AIM-9Ls do, even if the terrain interference doesn’t screw you over.
I absolutely love fighting A-10s in my Su-7, head-on it, chance of winning if they don’t fire a 9L, turn with it, bleed all my speed and die, run away from it, get a 9L up the ass. Then we have the AMX, better flight performance in almost every department, same BR, thanks Gaijin
it is so annoying like sometimes i am like mig19 or old mig21 or the 9.0 sabers sounds good rn nope gets slapped out of the air back to top tier or an ok plane

The problem is, that there is no space for attacker aircraft in Air RB. And since they can't pull their weight by ground pounding, they need to get AAMs to be able to do anything. I would love to see a dedicated game mode for attackers, where you can roleplay it.
I have the A6E (worst purchase ever). It's a useless attacker, since other, faster airplanes will absolutely destroy everything before I can get to the frontlines. So then you have to hide somewhere, since you're a sitting duck and wait for the bases top respawn. It takes hours.
On the other hand I can load 4 AIM-9Ls and get at least 1-2 idiots who will try to head-on me.

That's why some trees are ungrindable, like the mirages for France or Israel can't flare or dodge a 30g missle

i dont really think this is that much of an issue. I have played plenty of 9.3s or 9.7s with no flares (like the j35a) and I very rarely die to a attacker like an a-10, su-25, or AMX as you can just avoid them and get behind them and demolish them w/ guns.

I think it is best that ARB BR is based on Air to Air Performance, otherwise there are going to be jets that can bomb really well but can hardly defend themselves and that's no fun at all, attacker and bomber players should absolutely have the ability to be competent and lethal.

Bro as a player new to the 9.0+ BR getting hit by anything other than an aim9b is frustrating af, because atleast i can do something about an aim9b
to be entirely fair, the amx is very bad at dogfighting and its flight model is not very good, but the main issue i have with these changes is how nonchalant gaijin is with adding these missiles. i can remember the time when there were only aim-9B's/E's in the game and gaijin was reluctant to add non outturnable missiles, then after that gaijin was reluctant to add radar missiles, then all aspect, etc etc. and even with the amraam they are very careful and considerate for the balance not to add it. they dont do the same for these planes, though. they could have given the a-10 aim-9J's for balance sake and the SU-25 normal R-60's for balance sake, but they seem very unconcerned with adding these missiles to these planes, and then they also on top of that do not balance the planes and put them on low br's. if gaijin would just be more careful with adding these missiles to these planes like they are on top tier then it would be fine balance wise imo.
Is there a problem with BR compression? Can you fire aim9s at spitfires in a regular match? yes.
There's literally one 8.0 plane with aim9b missiles and it's very rare.

@@tom33430 Of the plane and in general, I know the difference between the 9L and the Magic 1, but the to planed have similar kits (4 or 6 GBU and 2 M1 or 2 9L) for almost the same BR ans the amx has a Thermal Pod.
one of the issues is that this thing absolutely cannot go any higher than it is BR wise, it already sees 11.3s which out class it in every way and if it goes up then it's instantly dead (especially to 11.0 were you'll see F-16, F-14, and Mig-29s). It also can't go down cause its CAS ability would DOMINATE GRB for Italy (for once) and it can't lose the AIM-9Ls cause most of the time it'll be the only way you can get a kill on anything super sonic that you'll see that's not an F-5 or MIG-21 who'll try and turn with you. The issue isn't the all-aspect missiles, it's that gaijin REFUSES to expand and balance the BRs.
player 93875 is looking into the issue too deeply and might know too much, sentence him to 500 games of full up tier with only level 10 premium plane users on his team, and match him with only level 100 enemies who have over 25k battles each.
Ripping wings because of carrying bombs on the wings makes no sense!
Lift is created BY THE WINGs, so you can add as much weight as you want and they're no more likely to break at the wing root under high Gs than clean!
Yeah, bombs put more stress on the wing root joint when sitting on the ground (assuming fuselage mounted gear), but as soon as you're airborne, the fuselage hangs off the wings.
If the aircraft had a bomb bay or fuselage-mounted weapons, then that would increase the stress on the fuselage-wing joint, but that's not what we see here.
Me in my (insert Japanese plane) watching an AMX appear behind me because the sighting system is broken rn as I can do nothing but die. (F-1 with Aim-9L when). Seriously though, just give me a reason to play the F-1 and T-2 again. When GCS-1 infrared guided bombs.

Btw my take is:
1 decompress
2 make aircraft br for air battles and another br for ground rb
You need to edit your config file, enable custom localization in there. You can edit your menu.csv file in the lang folder after you do so for the kill and hit messages, and unit names are in units.csv. There's tutorials on youtube for both, but if you want my mod specifically I have a channel on my discord that also tells you how to enable custom localization in the first place.

The assumption that the imbalance is either due to accident or inability is false. Gaijin generates these imbalances because it drives sales as people flock to those vehicles. This has been a cycle going on for many years and is incredibly common across multiple titles they produce. This is their bread and butter business model.

The A 10 being slow isn't an excuse. If they had some way to slow down engagements, an A 10 would be perfectly fine in top tier and I wouldn't have to deal with them in the tier that USED TO BE THE FUNNEST.
