- In this tutorial video I'll show you how to crochet easy slippers for any foot size - all from just a rectangle.
Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. Crocheting slippers sometimes can be challenging because feet come in all different sizes. Plus feet have all sorts of curves and increases and decreases to them.
However I make things simple with this pattern for you. You will crochet a rectangle using single crochet stitches. The length of the starting chain equates to the length of your foot. The number of rows you make equals the circumference of the top part of your foot (by your toes). By crocheting in the back loops, we can make these slippers nice and stretchy so they can fit most everyone.
I'm using 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn and a size G 4 mm crochet hook for my sample slippers.

How easy was that? Now you can go make one in each color for yourself (and everyone else!)
Can I make the chain and measure my daughter shoes?
What if person has a wide feet?
I think this method will fit any sizes. You can chain a couple more when you start to make the slippers looser than your foot length. And you can make more rows on the width side of rectangle to make the slippers wider than your foot width. Make sure to crochet with the back loop only method just like whats shown in the video, and the fabric will become stretchy and more comfortable to your fitting. Happy trying!
Thank you for such a perfect answer!

I'm a always barefoot kind of gal, but not anymore, I have end stage 4 peripheral neuropathy and it's very painful. Have tried many kinds of basic slippers, but have not made myself any yet. When I got the alert and watched your tutorial, they look super comfy to me and something I might be able to wear to bed as well as just the sheets/blanket touching my feet feels like they are onfire on the tops of my toes/foot. Thank you so much! Am about to start a pair right now! Thanks again, God bless!😍
Happy to help!

I only have the people's shoes size. So how I do this.?
@@nancyjasso8057 Try searching for the actual measurements of each shoe size so that you can crochet a big enough rectangle to fit whatever size you want. Hope that helps.
Great tutorial for slippers. I didn’t realise you could use the puffy paint for grip that’s brilliant. Thank you

Love this pattern I've been doing these for years BUT I do add more chain for a larger size foot and I also make them for children with less chains .
These slippers are very cute.
Super easy. I used up left over yarn and made them Super colorful 🎉❤
Wonderful!
Beautiful work ❤
Thanks so much!
I just remembered, when I used to make these I would make a chain of 85 (age of my grandma at the time) and weave it about every 2 stitches from the back (after tying it at the back around a stitch so it couldn't be pulled out). You end up with either end at the front of the opening and you can tie it like shoelaces then. 😁
Omg your nails are just sooo cute!!
Thank you! 😊
