ABOUT SONGLAND
"Songland" serves as a destination for music's biggest stars to find their next hit. The series is an authentic peek into the process of songwriting and provides one winner per episode the opportunity to have their song released by chart-topping artists. Season 2 guest recording artists include Boyz II Men, Florida Georgia Line, Luis Fonsi, H.E.R., Lady A, Martina McBride, Julia Michaels, Ben Platt, Bebe Rexha and Usher. Four songwriters will perform their original tracks in front of the guest artist and three of the most successful producers in music - Ryan Tedder (lead singer of OneRepublic and four-time Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer), Ester Dean (Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer) and Shane McAnally (three-time Grammy-winning songwriter and producer). In the end, a winner will be chosen and their song will be recorded and released for a global audience.

This song by itself is SO much better. I don’t understand Bebe’s obsession with Miracle.

This is way more OLYMPIC on it's own than being combined with Miracle. When she sang Bones, I was getting sooooo hyped. Then Bebe (who I LOVE) combined it with Miracle and it sounded... watered-down.

I get chills every time she hits that hook. Bebe did a disservice to "Bones" by dropping the chorus for the basic, repetitive "Miracle" hook.
I agree and they hardly had any of this songs lyrics. It was more of just a repetition of miracle over and over again rather than including bones at all.
She should have just picked this whole song. It's FIRE!

The pace, melody, chorus, music and everything else about this song is better than the mashup. This definitely was an Olympic song that would have rocked the arena. Still liked miracle, just not in this one.

I don’t understand why not keep Miracles separate from Bones. I was working out listening to every version of the final 3 songs and this was the ONLY one that got me pumped to keep pushing. Miracles sends a different message.. someone needs to tweet Bebe and tell her to produce 2 separate songs.

This song is exceptionally (more) powerful on its own, both for general release and geared towards the Olympics. I am confused as to the decision to combine it and disappointed by the cheap, generic version leftover. Here is to hoping they at least release this version to Spotify.
The only thing that makes the decision to mash this song up is that maybe BeBe couldn't do Bones justice

Anna is so damn talented my god. She legitimately has one of the best singing voices I’ve heard this century and has songwriting to match. Amazing stuff.
Bebe’s reaction to this alone was so much more enthusiastic than miracle. I’m surprised she combined the two songs.

This was so strong on its own. Hearing this got me so hyped and the lyrics were so cleverly put together! Then when I heard the version of Miracle and Bones put together was somewhat of a let down.
Two truths:
1. This version bears no semblance to the original that I liked.
2. This is version makes me want to get up and fight for the gold more than the original made me feel.

I love this so much but I guess it's slightly too gritty and dark for Olympics (what with the "six feet down") so they thought to keep the gritty verse and combine it with "Miracle" where the title more anthemic chorus (picture the crowd singing together: "No-oo-oo-oh") will balance it out, and make it more universal thus fitting an event like the Olympics. And they probably did not want to waste that very good chorus. Nevertheless, this would be a really nice standalone, in-your-face motivational song that shouts "I'm not going down without a fight/ I'm never backing down" and would be on people's playlist for the gym, before a competition. Could picture boxing matches etc.

I LOVE REXA and I LOVE her music, but I actually really did NOT care for the end result at the end of the show. It did not feel as much of an anthem as I think she thought it would.

This is amazing! I love how every single songs in the second version are always better than the originals. Original versions are always good but never good enough for me as I always prefer every single second versions better than the original versions. That's why I love this show! They always do a fantastic job revamping them to make it better.

Anna was visibly disappointed by Bebe Rhexa's decision when announced. She let out a perplexed "whaaat?" that seemed almost involuntary. I felt every bit of that emotion, and although Anna later polished up the comment with a polite 'clarification' I felt that she was just being the good human she is by not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings. I get frustrated on Anna's behalf because she has written so many good songs, yet because she didn't sign with a major label I think she got pushed to the back of the line in a crowded industry. Too bad because she is the real deal. She's had a few breaks here and there, but she deserves more.

I would have loved this song by its own. Ever since I heard this song its been stuck in my head. I can't even remember the melody or lyrics for Miracle.
The thing is... The final version by Bebe is like a classic Bebe Rexha song. Deep lyrics in the verses and a really catchy hook. And bebe really wanted to use that hook when she heard it. I think she made it her own in a really smart way
