50/50 isn't always correct. Water has a narrow temperature range and doesn't provide lubrication or corrosion resistance, but it does have epic heat capacity and transfer properties compared to glycol (or anything else, honestly). If you are in a hot climate or have a heavy duty cooling requirement, 70/30 will cool better and still have good anti-corrosion properties. For REALLY extreme cooling requirements like racing or a Las Vegas limousine, distilled water with water wetter is unbeatable. Just remember to switch back to 50/50 anytime freezing temperatures are possible. 70/30 will work for mild winters (20F+ lows) like Seattle. The Vegas limo guys do different coolants for summer and winter.
Just got my car yesterday ran home on water and I want to get good coolant, I wanna get the best everything maintenance wise so my car can last long as possible
So i recently purchased a 2011 mitsubishi galant with 205k miles..i got it from a buy here pay here lot...car was/ is a bit raggedy..however it runs...ive been using it for work for the past 2 months..i ended up putibg an addition 9k miles on it in 2 months..yeah...i know...alot of driving... car currently has 214k miles on it....however.. i had noticed that the coolant reservoir was always empty.. i saw no visible signs of leaks underneath..car AC system runs fine.. heat is fine... and temp guage on cluster has always been in the middle... no overheating signs... im contemplating stopping by autozone to pick up a bottle of coolant and putting it in the reservoir.. at least half way..🤔
Why? I am here looking for an answer to whether I should use the peak or not cause I can't find pentosin pentofrost anywhere locally. and I have a 15 jetta too
I know this is two months old but I know some people confuse pink, purple, red and orange as the same. Your vehicle being a Chevy most likely takes orange/dexcool.
Hey Chris and/or Peak Auto. Which one for Hyundai Tucson 2023? The Peak Auto "Asian vehicle" says Lexus, Scion, Toyota? The Antifreeze on my car is pink. Help!
Hi fellow Hyundai owner here, it’s an HOAT Antifreeze/coolant. I bought the Hyundai one off of eBay for like $26 and mixed it with distilled water. That’s the only safe way to do it I know of currently
I don't know where you found that peak Asian red pink coolant because yours looks like violet purple more pinkish but every single bottle I've purchased and opened came out more red then ketchup for that reason I dont use Peak my system is filled with Pink im sure it's the same technology but still dont understand why they chose RED instead of PINK for the color but for that main reason lost a customer I used to always use Peak products but I wont in my Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE
@@stevenland2600 yes but Zerex is also a P-HOAT coolant and the red looks identical to the pink supper long life Toyota coolant but the peak is P-OAT and is more red than it is pink so I decided to use Zerex instead on my Camry Hybrid but the weird thing is your Peak asian coolant looks like the pink zerex but i haven't found any in that color everytime I open one it's as red as ATF fluid 🤷🏽♂️
Even distilled water will pick up minerals and end up rusting . Ask me how I know 😂 . I’ll use distilled to flush a system but only fill with coolant now . Now maybe if you change the water out very often you’d be fine but eh I’d rather spend the 15 bucks and not have to worry about it for a year
Not sure what he's talking about but these drinks look delicious
Try one for urself
@@josebedolla9831 That is if you want to get poisoned. Antifreeze is a poisonous substance.

😂😂😂
This video definitely wasnt pushed or given enough attention by peak. Only 40k views. Anything with chris gets a million easily.
That answered absolutely nothing...
This ad is pondered by Kamala Harris 😂

Is that @chrisfix???
Ayo that’s what I was thinking
Ah yes the forbidden lemonade 😎
Will it work work Porsche Cayenne ?
I think all of these might be the same universal coolant but in different colors.
How can we be sure!? I'm a goof and I I'm dead set on replacing my upper most coolant hose with clear tubing and running blue coolant 😂😅
I bought some of the Euro coolant for my 15 Jetta, I ended up returning it and buying Pentosin Pentofrost E.
Why? I am here looking for an answer to whether I should use the peak or not cause I can't find pentosin pentofrost anywhere locally. and I have a 15 jetta too
Can you mix Peak blue silicate coolant with violet silicate coolant since they both say European
I just bought a chevy malibu 2013 lt edition and it has pink antifreeze so that does mean i get Asian one?
I know this is two months old but I know some people confuse pink, purple, red and orange as the same. Your vehicle being a Chevy most likely takes orange/dexcool.
My chevy hhr calls for orange
My Veloster N came with blue coolant from factory and its low, i should get the european kind yes?

It might be Asian blue. I know Peak brand has two or three different types of Asian colors.

@SecurityZone1 the colors are just dye, doesn't have anything to do with the formula.
@@Wise_Son still wouldn't want to mix different colors "dyes" together id rather just use Zerex or OEM Toyota and keep it the same
@@SecurityZone1but I think Zerex also has different colors. Don’t they?

Werter.
To fast
Come on….dont just use water…really? Why do you have to idiot proof everything? If people are that stupid they shouldn’t own a car.
You would be surprised lol.

@@lifeofa200sx7how long have you been doing that? the point of the water is to keep the additives in the coolant in suspension.
