I’m a cyclocross Commissaire, Cat came to ride in a local race a couple of weeks ago. What a lovely lady she is, she was the first to come over once she finished the race to thank the officials. She did finish a long way in front of everyone else, but it’s still nice.
Have been following Cat for the last 18 months and I am amazed at her talent, maturity and professionalism at such a young age.In March when climbing Els Angles out of Girona had the pleasure to see Cat fly past me like an Exocet missile and knew then that ahead for her is an amazing career.
Great video ! Thanks for showing us up-and-coming talent like Cat, the cycling scene is so dense it’s often hard to follow it all, a remarkably level-headed person for her age and her stats speak for the sheer potential she has ! And that 4:11 transition lmao
What an amazing young woman and definitely a star of the future. She is so mature for her age and love her attitude. Great roll model for young people generally, not just cyclists. Can’t wait to see what she does in 2025.
thank you, I like where GCN and you are going with this work. I dont ride roads, or watch Road racing, but I love the stories and the pro riders. I am glad you cover CC races, it is more of a citizens sport here in the USA.. keep up the neat work and spirit of the sport.
20 cross races is quite a lot for a newbie into the elite cat . Good though to give everything a go just to find out which is the ultimate discipline that really suits.
Ask yourself this: if a gas giant doesn't want to pay him, do you really think a 2nd division team will end up enjoying paying through the teeth for middling road results?
@whatwelearned I get what you're saying, but this is between the billionaire CEO of Enos and the billionaire former CEO of Glencore. I'm sure they both understand what they are doing
Not fussed who TP rides for as along as he’s riding. So dynamic and so inspirational- Ineos are clearly out of touch and heading for the bin. They did, after all go to Man Utd - point proven?
On the subject of racing goals for Q36.5, I think that concentrating on the Classics, one day races and week long races, could reap dividends for Pidcock and the team. I have heard people speculate that he won't have the team to support him, but, I'm almost sure that this is exactly what people thought about MVP when he joined Alpecin. And just look how the team rose to the occasion. But then agian, I don't race, I'm old, and it's just my own personal opinion, so what do I know?
Ineos have to be the losers on paper but sometimes you have to lose to win! I think Tom doesn't fit to their future plans and he cost a lot of money! Ineos aren't just reshaping they're tightening their budget. There won't be many riders earning mega bucks like Froome, Bernal, Thomas and even domestiques like Ben Swift and Luke Rowe once did. Sir Jim has been tightening the belt throughout his sports portfolio. Man United know all about that! As for Q36.5 and Tom, who knows what the future holds. Tom has said he might not be doing Cross at all this winter to concentrate on the road next year, so does he really want the space we think he wants? He's got goals he wants to fulfill on the road, he's maturing and has probably started realise that it's not possible to do everything all the time. It'll be interesting.
A genuinely very impressive young lady! "I thought I'd give it a go" - then wins all sorts of medals and awards in a sport she wasn't aiming for! I bet she's one of these people that would be a great footballer, golfer, track athlete, archer, cross-country skier (or whatever) but has no interest in beating 99% of the population with little effort, whatever the sport! And that makes her all the more wonderful. And she'd get a job in any company she chose to work for and be very successful in any function - IT, HR, management, marketing, accounts ...
Is the van self driving? He was doored by a postal DRIVER who opened their door without looking. If GCN cant stop using to passive voice, how can we expect the mainstream media to do so? Do better!!
Think Ineos are the losers in the Pidcock saga, think they reflect in many ways British Cycling in general whether racing, some big sportives struggling for finance or the view of cycling in the Uk generally.
How did you find Dan's interview with Cat Ferguson? Will she be a rider you keep your eye on in 2025? 🚴♀💨
Definitely!!!!! 😍
Wonderful interview! Dan keep un posted 😜
Like you I've been watching those results and will continue to.
Great interview! Definitely a star already and amazing to see women's racing is attracting elite young talent to cycling.
She's amazing 🤩

Good interview Dan. Cat has a very promising future and gives a great interview. Cannot wait to watch her continued success.

Love Cat. Very mature for her age. Was a surprise the two road wins so yes good things to cpme
One of Yorkshire's finest!
I was in the velodrome watching the finale and it was very frightening, im glad everyone is all okay now
Dan's bad jokes are still better than Si's good captions. 😀
is that you Dan?!
@@gcnracingis this Si-rannosaurs rex? 🦖
lol, that made me laugh! But still laugh at everything Si says, in a good way

From Pedreguer in the Alicantinian Alps!!!! Good for us, because I´m here too, but I live and cycle here!!!! see you and all the pros around!!!
Thanks for the interview.
no worries!
Cat?
Cat's agent?
Reminds me of when Greg Lemond burst onto the scene at a similar age. I look forward to watching her career! ❤

Helluva backdrop for the show, Dan!
Cool interview with Cat. I still don’t get why Movistar but they be one lucky team
wow thank you for keeping me up to date with all the new riders.
Our pleasure!

Cats a great young talent. She also very marketable!
The hottest thing about Cofidis is the Look bikes with Campagnolo wheels and drive train they'll be riding, beautiful.
thank you for keeping me updated with all the new cycling news.
I am not sure why but every time I heard Q36.5, I thought it is a radio station…
📻 "Q36.5 FM! Your perfect blend of hits, news, and everything in between"
I think everyone won with the Pidcock deal
Ask yourself this: if a gas giant doesn't want to pay him, do you really think a 2nd division team will end up enjoying paying through the teeth for middling road results?
@@whatwelearned Another clueless comment; they'll pay him to win races in multi-disciplines.
@@Andy_ATB Let's talk about all the massive money in cyclo-cross and mtb. Oh we can't

Hm, Mr. Glasenberg's pockets probably lost quite heavily and in my opinion Tom's career will take a turn for the worse.
Dan, they let you out of that dark shed from last week!

4:11 Cervelo Test Team, is that a nod to Emma Pooley? 😀
🤣
You can always rely on Dan to mention the Cervélo TestTeam at ANY opportunity
@@gcnracing … oh and Dan too… Dan is good sports caster for cycling.
Did Dan have something to do with the Cervelo test team? 😅

Cervelo Test who?🤪😉😂
She needs to get away from that team ASAP. Get to a team run by good people.

Hard test 00
Inios are the winners. Pidcock is a brilliant cross rider but is not a team rider.
I think too many people concentrate only on Belgian CX; there are other races in other countries........
