Well done. I started to go to sea on merchant ships in ‘68, having just turned 18. There were some old sailors that tied fancy knots (not macramé but knots of the Mayflower mariner, as I was reprimanded). They were willing to teach me. I spent long days at sea making belts, plant hangings, wall hangings, bell cords, etc. These old sailors vanished. I haven’t made anything for some time now save for an occasional knot to spruce something up. I’ve packed around Ashley’s book of knots just in case I get back into it. Your videos are very well done. Thank you for preserving the art of knot tying.
I love knots because they often bring back so many memories. I have some work that every time I look at it, I can feel the sun and hear my dog snoring next to me. Thanks for taking the time to view and also make a comment, very much appreciated.
Best looking too!! 😉 😉 😉 I am glad that you are getting something useful from my videos. You may also be interested in the Community Tab, where I show lots of peoples work: ruclips.net/user/JohnnyDebtcommunity

VERY GOOD PRESENTATION. Easy to follow. Occasionally you should say... "ah Shux" "Bless her heart" "Dad burn it" "Well Heck" "Y'all come on in" "Got in the pick up" Seajay
great videos by the way. Im new to here. can you tell me how can I use this diamond knot to finish a wrapped walking stick handle. Ive had the rope just hanging off my stick for days now and dont know how to finish it so my grandson doesnt have it fall apart on him right away lol. Thanks so much
I wonder if your two strands are long enough to create a loop with the Diamond Knot on the end? This video may help with that: ruclips.net/video/ROL2a8TkB0E/видео.html
Thank you again, Johnny. I have been telling all the WB peeps about your knots. Hopefully you are getting some attention :) Down to the last bit of the whip I used your ring bolt hitch on. :)
I did as promised share your video in other locations. The only bad comment I got back was someone didn't like the music. People love to moan about every little thing here on the Net. Could they not just admire the beautiful workmanship????

I've a lot of time in my hands. I've seen most of the blokes teaching knots. You're the best. By several lengths. Thank you.

I like how you used the large sized rope for the demonstration. It made it a lot easier to follow.
Very clear. Thx!
What do you plan on using it for?
Wonderfully explained, very easy to follow along!! The best instructions I've found yet. Thanks so much!!!

Glad that you liked it! Feeling a bit tired, so off for tea and crumpets now. Chin, chin old chap.
Great walk through. Never saw the button with 2 strands was a 4x3 turks head with a single strand. Well done indeed.
Cheers for that Mark, and thanks for taking the time to tell me this!!! Found any old rope as you sniff around the waterfront?
I wish I was close to a waterfront! I'm currently 6,150 ft above sea level so waterfronts are hard to come by. :-)
I appreciate you knot videos

ahh well you cant win em all :). thank you!
Did I miss the part where you show how to tie a Chinese Button Knot into the end of a line?
You do mention at the end that you can "cut it off and make it flush" but I would like to see what that looks like. A visible cut end isn't pretty.
Great job
