- Just took a week vacation to Disneyland and while we were there i had a little surprise for my beautiful girlfriend, thanks Samantha Ritter for helping me come up with the idea!

@@PaulJohnson-ju8sl you are correct! In fact, I took her on Pirates of the Caribbean before we got this picture done while my Dad with the camera went and tipped off the artist. I knew they would be by the exit of the ride. My girlfriend at the time, now wife, had previously expressed interest in getting a caricature done next time we went to Disneyland so I knew she’d want to do it if I suggested getting one after the ride…We just recently celebrated our 9th anniversary and have two beautiful daughters of age 6 and 4! Thanks for the kind words! It’s a great memory.

I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, while most platonic best friends remain friends until death.
I think that having a platonic best friend is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse is. Having someone who's like a sibling to you is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse. Also, you are more likely to be much more closer to someone who's like a brother or sister to you than you would be with a romantic partner or spouse.
Most people known their platonic best friend long before they've known their romantic partner or spouse, and so their platonic best friend has been in their life much longer than their romantic partner or spouse has been.
So that's a big reason why someone would be much closer to their platonic best friend than they would be to their romantic partner or spouse. And that's another reason why platonic relationships are better than romantic relationships are.

@ngbsf I Actually knew taht she wanted to get a charicature done when we went on this trip, so i had planned out us going on Pirates of the Carribean that day knowing that at the exit of the ride there was a charicature stand, so while we went on the ride my Dad tipped off the artist what i wanted done, and when we got off the ride i said, "oh!! lets get that charicature done!"

Though it's been a few years.. congrats. I'm looking to do the same caricature proposal to my gf next week in Disney, but I was wondering who you got to record the proposal? I think recording it was a very good idea and would like to do the same; however, it's just my gf and I that will be traveling.
