Thank you for the kind words! Keep on playing!!!!!!!!!
Angela Petrilli Music I still say it reminds me of Jimi Hendrix style of playing. Hendrix was way ahead of his time.
Nicely done. And my favorite Zeppelin album on the wall as well.
I keep coming back to this video I love it!
If you ever consider doing a tutorial online, this would be a great one. Love this everyday!
X2
Its 2 chords.
@@Dankaloriginal 2 years ? U a internet hero . I been play 30 years and she's good . the left hand says way more then 2 years . not everyone has a loose right. U have it or u don't . She is killing it just fine . So fuck off
You don't need a tutorial. Just click the RUclips settings icon and slow the speed setting. Then get to work.
I've never seen someone go between finger picking and using a pick so seamlessly, it's awesome. Thanks to Normans Rare Guitars for "introducing" me to Angela, an amazingly talented guitar player who happens to be a beautiful woman. She's one of my celebrity crushes, along with Mary Spender, Annie Clark, KT Tunstall.
Thanks for the kind words! Norm's is awesome!
Angela Petrilli Music You are very very beautiful
Steve Pittico
Yeah that’s really cool isn’t it
Anthony Nonya are you serious man? Check out an SRV video.
Just had to listen to ur rendition once again. Beautiful. Thx for posting!
Fantastic Hendrix style Angela!! Love your playin'! Greetings & all the best from Hamburg, Jimmy
I want to be able to play exactly like that!!
Me too
Try practicing?
Pick it up and don't put it back down. There's your secret sauce
Do you do private lessons by any chance? Asking for a friend!
Lol 😂
I see what you did there 😅
I like the way your slide your fingers Angela! I could feel the emotion within you. Wonderful!
I absolutely love this version you nailed it Angela well done!
Sorry, I just stumbled across this...
Awesome, awesome, awesome! There young lady. And that just doesn't describe it.
And to those 1.1k "thumbs downers". Burn in hell!
Amazing! can you do a lesson video or tab this please
Wow! Amazing!
Just flowin along with the music!
If Jimi Hendrix wrote this song it would sound just like that! Good playing!
This guy lmao
Stfu idiot
You have good posture!
Indeed she does. I don't know how she can sit so straight on that weird wire chair.
One of the reasons she sounds so good. They say it matters, and I believe it does. I hav e bad posture. I play kicked back and I suck. LOL
So natural and easy flowing, beautiful.
Lovely!
So this is actually an "I'd rather go blind" cover.
Yeah, wtf! Bish u need to rename this video!!! Or at least give her some credit! Stapleton used the music from id rather go blind. The song jones song, originally performed by David Allen Coe in ‘77, was a COMPLETELY different tune!
@@johnsmith4630 I'm rather late, but this actually is Tennessee Whiskey of Chris Stapleton's version. I don't know if you have ever heard of "Tennessee Whiskey" by Chris Stapleton, but I have heard both and whether they do sound similar, I assure you that if you would either listen to Tennessee Whiskey or listen to this full video. And, the reason they sound similar is because both songs have the 12/8 rhythmic meter, are in the key of A, and have a chord progression which is highly found in classic gospel and soul music. But alas, they are different and Chris did not sample from "I'd rather go blind" by Etta James.
You haters need to chill and appreciate the talent of this talented guitarist
like the song say`s girl = your as smooth as Tennessee Whiskey
I love the way you bring the melody out. Almost sounds like the guitar is singing.
When I was a kid we lived about 1/4 mile from George and we used to go to his house and Charlie Tyler would play steel guitar Charlie and my dad had a TV repair shop and worked on all their sound equipment . I met all the great country stars of the time and had no idea how lucky I was at the time . My dad was Dorman Boaz . But most of the time they just played 42 while we kids played outside , how times have changed . That was awesome Angela , thanks for the memory .
[Verse 1]
Used to spend my nights out in a barroom
Liquor was the only love I'd known
But you rescued me from reachin' for the bottom
And brought me back from bein' too far gone
[Chorus]
You're as smooth... as Tennessee whiskey
You're as sweet as strawberry wine
You're as warm as a glass of brandy
And honey, I stay stoned, on your love all the time
[Verse 2]
I've looked for love in all the same old places
Found the bottom of a bottle's always dry
But when you poured out your heart I didn't waste it
'Cause there's nothing like your love to get me high
[Chorus]
And you're as smooth... as Tennessee whiskey
You're as sweet as strawberry wine
You're as warm as a glass of brandy
And honey, I stay stoned, on your love all the time
[Interlude]
[Chorus]
...
[Outro]
Hi more balls than most blokes. And Zepplin on the wall. Good girl keep it up Respect,
verse 1: ... reachin' for the "Bottle" comports with the message of the song much better.
nice... but that is Chris Stapleton version.
Thats exactly what i thought as soon.as she started playing that not georges version of this song
its the same chords
Check the description
They are actually all doing a David Allen Coe cover seeing as he was the first ever to record and release his version. Everyone else covered him.
WickedLens Photography except that this is etta james tune, not the one david coe recorded and jones covered
Angela you are a fantastic player, appreciate the video it's a pleasure to watch you play....
Thank you kindly!
Beautiful loved listening ❤️🌹
Pretty sweet! Check out Taj Farrant a 9 year old Aussie playing this song, amazing!
The original isn't nearly as bluesy. This is the Stapleton version. I like his version better than Possum's original. Good job :)
The original song is actually a blues song by Etta James called "I'd Rather Go Blind" from 1967.
Der Red - thank you. I for one can't stand the hybrid BS that Stapleton released. Now all the wannabe cover bands are doing the song that way. ...and they never heard of Etta James either.
Der Red ....these new versions may sound similar to Etta, but the original release by David Alan Coe deff doesnt
I like the guitar playing but no one comes close to george jones on this song in my opinion
wow!
Get it !!! Awesome 😎
Gorgeous girl
Hottest thing I've ever seen in my life 😍😍
Jammal Reng

Oh my ! So good!
I could listen to you play that all day love that Hendrix style bluesy sound and nice tone
Sounds a lot like the beth Heart/Joe Bonamasa version of I'd rather go blind;
Hello Angela .. well highly recommended by Mary Spender .. John Mayer .. & I saw you pop into Norms rare guitars with Jenny .. lovely guitar tone .. but dare I say it .. the snap / slap is so loud & coarse ( compared to the rest ) if it was the ' snare ' you would have to fire the drummer .. or put a gate on it & compress the hell out of it .. or just ignore me .. probably the best .. lol bye all the best ..
Good thoughtful polite critic. Thankfully you worded that! :)
Gorgeous. So much feel 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Love hearing you play. Always great stuff
Major fail. This is not George Jones’ version
Joseph Dobis your jealous. George wrote this song . Chris Stapleton. Re arrange the melody. Not a fail!!
Joseph Dobis you dont think people clicked to hear her play do ya?...lmao
David Jessee David Allen coe wrote the song George Jones did the first cover of the song.
Awesome!
Amazing technique changes. Love it.
Amazing!!!!
Wow sensational ! Thanks again superb playing.
If you pick it....it will never heal. Loved it
All I can say is WOW! Sounds great!
Woooa. Just fantastic, amazing. Your touch and tone does everything that a guitar is supposed to do. You r so so linked to your guitar. Just luv it. Huge Huge Thnx so so much. What a talent
Love.
Awesome job! Love that song.🤗👍👍💃🏻💫
Love this.
Yes, you rocked it, love it!!!!
