Good luck with Amazfit customer service. Had to send my wifes watch back for a replacement. Alot of confusing emails later, finally got it. 🤞

Thanks for the gear update! Congratulations on reaching Harper’s Ferry. Will you do an update on Leo’s equipment? I have a service dog I hike with and have trouble finding the right gear for him.

Cheers to your ‘grand’ achievement. Thanks for the gear update. Great info. I will stand fast to Darn Tough socks. I have worn out many pair and have sent them in for replacements. The customer service is ace. Darn Tough stands by their claim of life time replacement. No gimmick. Bravo to your strength of character. Wishing you safe passage and good fortune. Happy Trails!

Darn tough does stand by the warranty the outfitters do not. Thanks so much!

Hey Michael and Leo, just subscribed yesterday. Really enjoy your videos. So much I think I will go back to day 1 and watch. Although I do not thru hike, I do day hike most days since I retired 2 years ago. Look forward to following the second half of your hike.

Great gear update. Thanks for sharing. I have beat the crap out of a garmin instinct watch and it keeps on going.

I also recommend the Garmin Instinct. I love my 2X and the battery life is bulletproof!

Thank you for the gear update! So helpful! Always good to know how things work from someone who has actually used it.

Hi Michael. I sent my 20 degree Enlightenment quilt home in PA and just used my liner to sleep in. It worked great in the months of June thru August. Didn’t get the quilt sent back until Maine. Had a couple of cool nights but nothing that made me too uncomfortable to sleep!

Thank you so much for the gear review! It is always nice to hear what is working or not working. My hike of the Colorado Trail doesn't start until July so you have helped me decide on a few things. I hope you had a great zero!

Excellent! I was hoping you (and maybe some other folk) would do a gear update like this. Thanks. Very helpful.

Thanks so much this gear update. I was really interested in your hikers. You never complained about your feet or your hikers. And I am in the process of looking for another pair, so I’m always asking everyone about theirs. I have so much trouble finding a pair of hikers that conform to my foot so I will add topos to my list to try on. ❤❤❤❤❤

Yes thanks for the gear update. Instead of a hip or fanni pack. You might consider a chest pack like a numbat. I use that now Instead of fanni worn in front. It works much better for me.

      @ISuckatHiking  19 дней назад +1

The new fanny pack clipped directly to my backpack made by z-packs. It's fantastic!

Great gear rundown for the half way point. I’m still wondering which rain jacket you are using now.. I thought you started out with a Frogg Toggs. Are you carrying any rain paints or something similar?

I’ve tried just about every Trail shoe that Topo has and the Ultraventure’s are hands down the best! I checked my Garmin Epix 2 and there is a mixed martial arts setting in it. Not sure if that would work for your jujitsu though.

Resting heart rate? Thanks for the update on the gear. Fun to fantasize about this AT hike thingy that I almost never give up on. Boy, I would be ready if I did. Take care of those feet on the upcoming rocks. Did you pick up a foot roller yet? Safe travels!

I was thinking about getting the DJI Osmo, but it's not good in the rain, which is frustrating. Otherwise, the functionality is pretty cool.

Saw you could register digitally this year to thru-hike. Do you have to prove you're human or could a dog pass? Just sayin...

The outfitters along the AT, for the most part, are worthless. You get a better resupply at Walmart.
