- Fresh Ground is a legend in the hiker community and we had the privilege a few years ago to meet him and connect with him on the trail from time to time to do trail magic in various ways. Today we got to meet up with him on the A.T. at Jennings Creek in Virginia to talk about what he's been up to and what is on the agenda for this hiking season. We also got to meet some of the class of 2021 hikers and hear their stories and a couple of them we recognized from RUclips.

Yes we had the opportunity to meet her at Fresh Ground's set up at Jennings Creek that year.
One of the many many great trail angles all along the Appalachian Trail. The ATC should be made pay him. His kindness is beyond words.
We agree with you Mark! He is so selfless in his efforts and he feeds anyone who comes by and visits whether they are a thru hiker or not. He has even helped truly homeless people he has come across when he is on the road.
@@theblueblazebeyond4766 He may have told you his story but I wont go into it because it's his to tell. But he told me once about having to eat from dumpsters behind a grocery store. Hard times create strong men.
@@markburrell2778 I know some of his back story, but perhaps not as many details as you. But he has been shown Grace and he recognizes that and is willing to share and show grace and kindness to others as a result of his journey. Thank you for sharing.

That is amazing, I have heard about him from other thru hikers. The world needs more people like this!!
We agree Lynell! We love to meet up with him and help him do trail magic .... sometimes all we get to do is donate $$$, but sometimes I can bake goodies for the hikers and we have been know to take our massage chair and do massage for the hikers.

Bartman Outdoors is hiking and he has said in his videos that he would love to meet you Fresh Ground. He's up in Connecticut. You are a one of a kind. So I have seen through the hikers that I watch, like Chase's blazes and Nonnie kikes 🙂🙂🙂
Fresh Ground is planning on his South Bound Hiker season right now, so I hope that Bartman Outdoors is able to meet him. He is planning to eventually end up in Maine.
