Hey man ! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. There is too manny course out there paid or free but learning how to make a game from you is awesome. Nice video editing, diction, clear knowledge... Can you teach us how to make a save file for our game and proper options menu that saves settings. There is too many tutorial out there but none off them is good or functioonal.
hey thomas, your 2D game kit is really awesome and helpful, can we also have a 3d kit?
Very useful thing for getting start in 3d game in unity
Hey hi I have been working hard for my own indie game (Opaldune) for the past 2 years its been a long Journey but now we reached the part where we really need some advise with, Marketing. Is there an option to take part in just the marketing portion of the course? If you are reading this I really appreciate it and thank you for the patience and time :)
@@TanChengLip That's sound fun
Sometimes when it comes to landscapes I think less is more, this really goes to show you can make an environment look visually appealing without a ton of detail and complexity
Yeah this video really opened my eyes for that
3D games have brilliant models and landscapes these days, many of them almost photo realistic, but I'm still a big fan of minimalist, low-poly art. It really lets your imagination run wild.
This was a fun little tutorial, Thomas!
Crazy how good you've gotten with Unity in such a short time. I've been using it for about 8 years and still picked up some tricks from this - thanks.
Aw thx :) I’ve been using for a long time actually. It’s just 3D is a bit new to me
Not only that but its impressive what he's done with 3D in such a short time. I remember when he just started with 3D game development.
This really proves that art direction is much more important than what assets (or lack there of) you use.
This is what I want. This is what I was looking for. I absolutely want more videos like this.
Thank you Thomas for all the great videos you make. I've been watching your stuff for years and was always inspired to go full time like you, finally trying it now (partnered with my wife)
Keep it up man, you are an inspiration to many devs out there!
Thanks for sharing so much organized info for free, Thomas. Had a blast with your Easy3D course and learned a lot.
Hey thanks!!!
Awesome. I just decided to learn how to make games (partly thanks to your videos) and for someone like me, who likes minimalistic art styles and walking sims to tell short but greatly written stories, I will totally come back to this video as soon as I've build up the courage to create a prototype.
That's awesome dude! Love the simplicity.
Looks freaking beautiful!
Bro I want to say thank you so much for all of the FREE tutorials you put out there! I am an aspiring indie dev learning, wanting to make cool adventure games, or super fast fps games! But I just don't have the money being a father and all to pay for courses. So I thank you for these
Videos like this are great, i find them very useful to share some ideas and tips.
Superbly Done. Thanks. 👍👏❤️
This was mad quick. But i like how surreal it looks with those long shadows.
Been coding for years and I always learn something new for Thomas's videos! Thanks as always 😊
Thanks for watchin Will!
Thank you soo much Thomas!
Wow! I'll definetly try this! I'll let you know how it went.
Thanks for your videos man!!
I need to start making crappy games to get the ball rolling. Nice one Thomas!
Next level content. So great man I am lost for words...
Thanks a lot!! Thomas!!!
Thanks Thomas!
Hey, Thomas. If you right click the transform and click on "reset" the transform will be automatically setted to (0, 0, 0) position
Reminds me a bit of the first tree, great tutorial 👍
It Was SO F Great !
Thank you
That's so inspiring thx tommy 💚👏💚
i didn’t know we could turn off the fog for scene view. Seems obvious now that I saw you do it though haha. thanks for the video!
thanks tommy
More videos like this pls👌❤
Fantastic!
Thank you.
Very creative thinking for saving time and make it easy on make game, Using modular pieces is very useful in long run of game design. That's something I learn from long time ago. (Actually you did same thing in 2d game design right?)
9:12 uh oh went to 0.2
Thumbs up for Thomas Brush as a voice actor ❤️
Fantastisch. Good Inspiration for beginners Like me
Entertaining... Watching while making a 3D asset pack😂
Hey! Sorry if you have done this video before but wondering. I am thinking of actually going to Unity over Unreal due to community and amount of indie dev games seen around social media getting developed faster... Wonder why you chose Unity over UE?
perfect
😭 This is beautiful.... I wanna stay forever, oh and please can you do a tutorial on voice over using that software called "Audacity".... You used it😁 and I like it
Wonderful 😚😀🤌
Would be cool to see some third person games!
i kinda wish you hadve been my teacher for unity atleast for art because our teacher was programmer friendly and not artist so he just kept helping the programmers but not art and it was bs but you teach way better then him js
Awesomely simple! Thanks, Thomas! I learned heckuva lot.
Question
What if player collide with same voiceover trigger over and over again dose that play same audio everytime or not if not how to achieve like should I destroy trigger object once I finished playing audio or what
How are you doing sir? I like to self-publish my game. So I'm overthinking how to publish games in other countries. I'm from India if I want to sell in us, Europe, Australia and more.
1. Taxes and accounts things dealt with by the store, that 30% (epic, steam)? Or do I register in the country for getting tax numbers?
2. Is there any option available in the store (epic, steam) to select a country that wants to publish my game.
3. What is precertification? How does it work?
4. After getting approval from the store, do we choose our launch day, or does it depends on the store?
5. What is difficult did you face during the launch, like finding the right store, how you find the demand on the store, steps in publishing a game.
Big request, please 🙏
Just did this, feel crazy powerful mwahahahah
Epic vid
A question what is pinstripe game development budget, pls Thomas if you can answer it.
I was working a full time job at the time, so I wasn't paying myself. But it took 5 years to make. So expensive, if you think about it!
Hey men, big fan, could you teach us third person controller ? Please. Love ya
Does your full time gamedev course ever go on sale? I'd love to take it, but it's too expensive for me
Yes in April :)
You are just amazing. These small & beginner tutorials help us more & things make it so much easier.
With no textures "what I have here are some simple textures"
Bro Pls say How to add footsteps sound...
Oo dude windows 11 looks same as Mac ui right?
Im taken game dev unlocked 7 days game challenge, should i try this one to or Is too similar ?
It’s free so give it a try :)
This guy really showed us how to make an art peace out of few basic shapes. I was watching this guy for a while now and let me say, this guy is genius of game dev world!

We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see

fulltimegamedev Can you translate that language into Korean?
I really want to hear it, but I can't speak English... ㅠㅠ
better than CYBERPUNK 2077
Feels illegal won't lie
Hahaha
why do you call it a game?
you wouldn't call a butter sandwich a lunch.

I miss newgrounds.
i know this content drives sales to your courses, and at the end of the day you have to make a living, but im starting to cringe at all this indie game dream "propaganda" type stuff, like david wehle showing how to make a game in 7 days course implying that all it takes to be successful and rich like him is to make a game like in the course. yes, you are not a fake guru as you made your initial income by making games, but you are acting like them in that you are using the viewer's (unrealistic) desire for a better life and success to sell your courses, which is what theses gurus do. 1 year ago, your content was still very good, now, this channel is just filled with video's who's only goal is to be an ad for your products (this includes father).
i feel the same way. i did buy his course and i will say its very good and teaches alot about marketing and making a game, however at most he should make a little banner at the bottem advertising is course, intstead of focusing on it in his videos
Hey bud thanks for your comment :) I hope you know that I never said you can make a living making quick games. This video is for those of you who want to jump into 3D and don't quite know how. Yes I promote my course on some videos -- but this course is a free one. I'm not going to apologize for offering a free course I made to my audience.
As a FullTimeGameDev student I need to point out that Thomas never claims everyone can get rich making games or following his courses and other content. In fact, Thomas often states that it's hard work and definitely not for everyone. BUT, it's also not as impossible as it might seem and with hard work, the right attitude and some guidance you might be able to make your dream come true.
I understand where you're comming from Philippe, but I genuinely feel that Thomas has always been honest about his intentions and even the fact that he too needs to sell his products from time to time.
@@PepijnLinden thats super true, i am kinda getting tired tho of the constant course plugs. but i get thats what he makes the majority of his income off of (i think, he stated in one video his course sales surpassed his game sales but i could be wonrg)
